And Battier defended Durant more than Lebron. Your point?

LeBron outplayed Durant, yeah. He didn't destroy him.

OP is one of the most guilty posters of this, and is asking why he brings up Lebron in Melo threads.

This is the biggest bunch of spin I've ever seen on Lebron's road to the Finals.

You make it sound like he didn't go through a injury riddled East.

They didn't play the Bulls (one of the best on the east, who the media was putting as the team to beat the Heat) because their star was injured. The Knicks was playing without most of it's top players and the one that were playing were playing injured (Amare, Lin, Shump, Baron etc...). Also didn't somebody on the Celtics got injured or kicked out (due to reffing wink wink...I think it was Rondo) in a critical game? The Heat had their injuries but they lucked out with the Knicks and the unproven Pacers.

Of course that doesn't take anything from Lebron's playoff run as it was mostly luck on his part (God wanted him to win ). It was impressive, but stans like you tend to pretend that his run was anything like the Legendary players had before his time.

For example in the Finals I was more impressed with Bosh's play than I was with Lebron or Wade for that matter. He defended as well as anyone, which brought me to respect the Boshasaurus.

Also destroyed Melo? Melo was scoring on him at will what the HELL are you talking about. Melo was scoring on everyone, we as fans were just expecting him to have a MJ type of game (he only had one in my opinion) which is hard to do.

LeBron had some legendary games in the playoffs, but it wasn't a legendary playoff run. It was a very good run. He proved himself, which is why I hate when people say it was given, he was carried, it was the lockout, or it was all luck. He earned it. Give him his respect and that is all.

Now it definitely wasn't top 5 of all time or anything like that. People exaggerate on here.

He earned it there's no doubt about that, but let's not pretend he didn't have luck on the first three rounds. It was just coincidence, but it worked in his favour. Who's not to say the Bulls or a healthy Knicks or Celtics team don't beat them.

It's all a what if scenario though...so that's really not important. THe HEat won and that's that.

What team could have beaten the Heat in a 7 game series in the East?

The Bulls? Of course. They were the #1 seed and always give Miami problems with their defense, rebounding, and good coaching. However, Miami already beat that team in 5.

The Celtics? Yeah there missing quite a few players, but I think if Bosh didn't get hurt it would not have been a 7 game series. A fully healthy Celtics team could have beaten Miami with no Bosh, but a fully healthy Miami team would beat them.

Oh yeah, the 11'-12' Bulls were the exact same as the 10'-11' Bulls.

The Bulls couldn't even beat Miami when they had no bench in 2011. 2012 would have been a sweep

Was last year's team better than the 2011 team? You're a Bulls fan so you're not going to agree with me, but Miami would have beaten that Bulls team. People are acting like if the East was healthy Miami would have lost. They might not have beaten teams in 5 again, but they would have beaten those teams in 6 or 7 games.

Now if Bosh was hurt and they played Chicago, then you have a case.

I don't agree on the sweep part, but 2011 was the best year to beat the Heat. They didn't have a bench, they played a iso offense, and the Bulls had a legitimate strength in HCA, a bench, and size against Miami, yet still lost in 5.
