Default 1999 Rams vs 2013 Seahawks (With Harvin)

Who wins this matchup? Greatest Show on Turf vs Legion of Boom.

Defense thwarts. We would smash the shit out of em like manning.

A good scrambling Qb scares me more

They present different problems for a defense than the Broncos.

Broncos did not have a very good offensive line. They got exposed in the superbowl. The Rams had a beast line, headed by maybe the best LT as far as prime goes in Orlando Pace. They also had the most versatile RB ever who caused a lot of problems with matchups, Denver did not.

I think the biggest difference, on paper, is their ability to protect Warner.

Obviously nobody knows how it would go. Guys could fumble who usually don't fumble, a snap over someones head, etc, etc. that you can't predict.

What about 2007 Patriots (18-1) vs 2013 Seahawks? Obviously Giants beat them, but they had an amazing pass rush.

Seahawks win.

Defense beats offense most of the time in the playoffs. But Greatest Show on Turf vs Legion of Boom? That is a tough one. This years Broncos are NOT the best offense of all time. 99 Rams were more of a vertical threat with Warner, Faulk had arguably the greatest RB season ever, and they had a better line. So yeah, it would be a tight game. Put a gun to my head and I'll pick the Seahawks.

Look at how the Rams played in the NFC Champ Game vs the 99' Bucs, who had one of the best defenses of all time, the greatest show on turf only scored 11 pts in their own place..

Too bad the Bucs had one of the worst offenses behind that scrub of Shaun King.. if not that game could've turn different in a big way, that Defense was so nasty, I can say it was better than the 13' Seahawks D.. for sure..

For sure ... No.

They didn't have to worry about where to hit people as much. Could actually "rough up " the quarterback a little.

Our defense is held back by today's offense friendly rules.

Rams a better offense than Broncos. Rams would win. No one on Seattle could cover Faulk.

Let's not get carried away now. These exact same Rams put up 11 points in a playoff game vs an inferior defense in '99.

They could be stopped. Marshall had 44 yards rushing and 5 yards receiving vs Tampa defense in the playoffs.

He had a COMBINED rushing performance of 38 carries for 81 yards in his '99 superbowl run.
