Default Re: Official NBA All-Time Peak Draft

I ran a 7 game series vs Odinn (I coin-tossed and won HCA. I was torn on who should get it as I have the better winning % but he has more victories and games played). Anyway, here's what happened:

G1: I won 98-88. I found throughout this series that his team is very similar to mine statistically. Great rebounding team, great ball movement, forces turnovers, can block and steal and doesn't foul much. The biggest difference is 3 point shooting. I thought he would be fine because he has Dirk, but his team went 0-6 from downtown. VC scored 35 and Dwight, Duncan and Barkley had a double double each

G2: Odinn won 102-96. Duncan went HAM on me; 17 points, 18 boards (6 offensive), 5 assists and 6 blocks and held Dwight to 10 points and 8 rebounds. Got me into foul trouble too, forcing Rodman to foul out and Pippen to have 5

G3: Odinn won 105-100. The big difference was the FTs. It looked like a Laker game, he shot 37 FTs to my 9! Ben Wallace had 9 boards and 2 blocks off the bench. Dirk was player of the game with 23 points and 8 boards

G4: Odinn won 100-95. His team is amazing at drawing fouls (I'm not mad), Duncan and Barkley both had double doubles while Dwight had 18 points, 19 boards (5 offensive) and 5 blocks

G5: I won 103-91. VC had 22/7/7, while Duncan had 21/9/3 and 6 blocks. Don't count me out just yet

G6: I won 117-102. Barkley had a near triple double with 13/8/9 while Dwight had 22 points and 16 boards (5 offensive). It ain't over til the fat lady sings.

G7: I win the series 4-3 with a 102-95 home victory. I held him to 41% shooting, and 7% from beyond the arc. Clyde Drexler had 6 offensive boards off the bench! In the end, my ball movement was too much, I finished with 34 assists on 41 made FGs.

Great series, I was worried after Game 4. His team is as good as mine defensively, but again the lack of 3 point shooting means I can commit more players to rebounding. I thought Dirk would go off on Worm because of the height advantage, but GAWDman held his own

How the hell did MJ only average 17PPG against you?

I do not know.

Jordan against me 16.8 ppg on .476 fg. (But he just averaged 15.8 fga per game also)
Karl Malone against me 14.5 ppg on .455fg. (But he just averaged 13.8 fga per game also)

It was kinda weird.

Duncan dominated from the 1st game; 20.0 ppg 12.3 rpg 5.0 apg 3.8 bpg 1.3 spg on .567 fg

7 game series against hangintheair (he has HCA):

G1: I win 104-94. A lot closer than the final score suggests, poor efficiency from both teams and more turnovers than I'd like. Scottie Pippen had a good all round game except for his shooting percentages. He finished with 11 points, 11 boards, 8 assists and 7 steals on 4/14 shooting.
http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...931&teamfee=-1

G2: I win 93-87. Another poor shooting night from both teams. Lucky I have Ginobili, who chipped in with 22 points and 10 boards
http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...939&teamfee=-1

G3: I win 114-95. Hondo played badly for him, shooting 7/19 for 17 points, 0 assists and 2 turnovers. On my side I had 3 double doubles and 6 double figure scorers including Dennis Rodman. His team is shooting poorly against me in this series so far.
http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...941&teamfee=-1

G4: I win 96-84. The sweep, his team couldn't execute properly against my defense. Scottie Pippen has proven to be too much for John Havlicek.
http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...945&teamfee=-1

His team should be better than they were, especially offensively with Penny Hardaway, Oscar Robertson and Grant Hill all being great playmakers. I like the Russell-Hayes duo though. Like the Dirk-Chandler combo for the Mavs championship ring but better defensively

'92 Jordan thought it was the Olympics. Duncan destroyed the Mailman too

G1: Shade won 110-101, he had very balanced scoring and forced a lot of turnovers

G2: I won 111-102, Vince Carter went HAM for me, 28/7/4 and 3 blocks. Wilt had a 20-20 game while Dwight had an 18-20

G3: I won 118-104, my team destroyed his on the boards (52-36) and Pippen had a near triple double with 17/10/9

G4: Shade ran me out of the building 108-87. D-Wade is the MVP for his team so far, he had a double double with 26/10 while holding Carter to 30% shooting. Wilt grabbed 8 ORB and forced Dwight to foul out

G5: I won 145-136 after OT, everyone on Shade's team except Dr. J scored in double figures, but my teams rebounding is killing him. The rebounding margin was +14 for me, and +7 on the offensive glass. D-Wade had a triple double with 24/10/12 and VC dropped 45/7/6 with 5 steals and 2 blocks

G6: I clinch the series 4-2 after a 126-105 victory. D-Wade had an uncharacteristically quiet game (13 points 8 assists), and his team even outrebounded me 51-50. My ball movement was too much though with 33 assists on 51 made FGs.

A good series, I think Shade's biggest problem though is lack of 3 point shooting. The combo of D-Wade and Wilt is though
Yeah, I only have one good 3 point shooter in Dale Ellis.

Did you change your depth settings to give him more minutes? If I were you I'd take minutes away from Tiny Archibald at PG and give Wade more time there. Then decrease Wade's minutes at the 2 so Ellis gets more time. Do MisterAmazing and Legends66NBA7 have accounts?

I'm trying to make a sim myself, but I don't know how to cut the roster size down to 8 players.

Anyone here know how to do that ?

You can't, just add 4 scrubs and set their playing time to 0

I ran a series against you once more. And this time you beat me 4-2.

G1; I won 111-107 with a OT.

G6; I lost 110-93.
http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...u=1&teamfee=-1

---

Other than game 2, visitor won in each game.

This time Tim Duncan vs. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar against each other;
TD; 22.2 / 12.3 / 4.7 / 3.0 / 0.5 with 3.0 tpg on .532 fg .714 ft (30.0 eff)
KAJ; 19.7 / 10.8 / 3.8 / 4.3 / 0.8 with 1.5 tpg on .552 fg .632 ft (29.7 eff)

---

I was curious about how they would against each other on their original teams, that's why I ran 10 games as 1976-77 Lakers vs. 2002-03 Spurs, both of them were at the C position and set for 48 minutes.

TD; 26.0 fga 8.2 fta 29.3 ppg 18.0 rpg 4.3 apg 5.1 bpg 0.7 spg 3.4 tpg on .467 fg .720 ft (37.8 eff)
KAJ; 22.0 fga 3.9 fta 23.7 ppg 20.3 rpg 5.0 apg 3.7 bpg 1.1 spg 2.8 tpg on .473 fg .744 ft (38.3 eff)

And this is the last game I ran between them;
http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...u=1&teamfee=-1
37-34-6-3 vs. 38-18-7-4
