G2: I won 107-96. I won the rebounding battle 56-44. T-Mac had another good game, this time dropping 20/8/7. Magic also had a good game with 24/6/7. What's surprising is that McAdoo is abusing Rodman but Dwight is doing fine against Kareem so far. http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...003&teamfee=-1
G3: I won 132-105. This is where my internet froze. I didn't have a chance to make Legends the home team for this game so it gave me 3 home games in a row. To make up for this, I gave him the next 4. Extremely efficient game for both sides, my rebounding and forcing turnovers is what won the game for me. Would have been a fun game to watch too, 11 double figure scorers in the game http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...027&teamfee=-1
G6: I win the series 4-2 with a 113-103 victory. I crushed him on the boards again 57-35. Kareem's been a non-factor this series somehow. Scottie Pippen ended with 20 points and 19 rebounds (7 offensive). Ball movement was great for both teams this game as well as scoring efficiency. http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...041&teamfee=-1
Did you change your depth settings to give him more minutes? If I were you I'd take minutes away from Tiny Archibald at PG and give Wade more time there. Then decrease Wade's minutes at the 2 so Ellis gets more time. Do MisterAmazing and Legends66NBA7 have accounts?
G1: Legends won 114-109. He had 3 20 point scorers (McAdoo with 24, CP3 with 21 and 13 assists and T-Mac with 36) and Kareem also had 14 points, 6 boards and 6 blocks. Vince Carter was determined to make up for his poor showing last series so he dropped 39 points, 2 blocks and 2 steals but had no assists or rebounds. http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...048&teamfee=-1
G2: Legends won 117-85. His offense was just unstoppable this game, he ended the night shooting 51% from the floor and 48% from deep. All 5 starters plus Rasheed Wallace scored in double figures, and he had 4 double doubles. On my side, Scottie Pippen had a near triple double with 10/7/9 and a steal and block. http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...049&teamfee=-1
G3: I won 114-91. Smothering defense won the game, I limited him to 40% shooting. Kareem is really struggling to get anything going against Dwight, scoring 17 points but only grabbing 4 rebounds. Meanwhile Dwight also scored 17 points but added 14 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and 4 blocks. http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...054&teamfee=-1
G4: I won 110-108. One hell of a battle inside; McAdoo, Kareem, Rodman and Howard all grabbed at least 10 boards. CP3 dropped 21 and 13 while T-Mac had 29 points. On my side, Magic had 21 points and 17 assists and Carter dropped 30 points and blocked 3 shots. It seems Pippen and Marion are cancelling each other out. http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...058&teamfee=-1
G5: Legends won 110-101. T-Mac is definitely the gear that makes this team turn. He had 29 points with 9 boards to go with it. Kareem also finally had a good game vs Dwight, chipping in with 22 points, 14 boards and 7 blocks. Magic's effort wasn't enough as his 32 points, 7 assists and 7 steals couldn't will us to victory http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...059&teamfee=-1
G6: Legends wins the series 4-2 with a 108-106 home victory. Poor shooting games from Scottie Pippen (10 points, 7 boards 7 assists) and Manu Ginobili (13 points, 7 assists) gave Legends the victory. It also helped that McAdoo had 29 points, 10 boards and 6 blocks while Kareem had 20 points and 17 boards. CP3 also had 11 points and 17 dimes. T-Mac and Kareem are co-MVPs of the series http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...062&teamfee=-1
jcsrplumply was right; Legends, Odinn and myself have the best teams (IMO). I'm going to do another series with Legends as a tie breaker. After this series I'm 58-25 (I simmed one game vs the 2013 Heat and won so I'm 57-25 against you guys) which translates to a .695 winning percentage through 82 games.
G2: I win 129-102. Again the rebounding was +22 for me, and the assist margin was also a very surprising +15. I also shot 59% with 4 20 point scorers. Magic was player of the game with 29 points, 14 assists, 3 steals and 0 turnovers. http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...098&teamfee=-1
G4: I sweep the series with a 118-107 victory. Was not expecting that at all after the 2nd series. The FT margin was +28 in my favour which is what won the game for me as he shot more efficiently and kept me off the boards. Magic was again player of the game with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 12 dimes. That makes him series MVP with averages of 24.3PPG 5.5RPG 11.5APG on .578 shooting http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...114&teamfee=-1
G4: I won 107-93. Michael Jordan had 39 points and 9 rebounds and '96 Pippen added 20 points but 9 turnovers. 6 of my guys had double digit scoring games including '94 Pippen who had 11 points 9 rebounds and 9 assists. http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...072&teamfee=-1
G5: I win the series 4-1 with a 106-97 road victory. A combination of factors won the game; rebounding (+9), ball movement (26 assists on 39 FGs) and great defense, especially on Jordan who hot 9/25 for 27 points. http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...095&teamfee=-1
I'm trying to run through every historic team: 96 Bulls, 86 Celtics, 87 Lakers, 72 Lakers, 67 Sixers, Any Russell Celtics team, Bad Boy Pistons, Hakeem Rockets, 03 Spurs, 3 peat Lakers and 97 Jazz
No doubt about that. But choosing 2003 Spurs over 2005 Spurs or 1999 Spurs will be like choosing 2000 Lakers over 2002 Lakers.
Hmm...I must say I like all 3 teams but for different reasons. Anyway, coin toss meant that I'm facing the '99 Spurs. I'm giving HCA to whichever team has the highest winning percentage. Mine (through 82 games) is .695 compared to the Spurs .740, so they get HCA.
G3: I won 100-99. Duncan (16 points 13 rebounds) and Robinson (18 points 11 rebounds) had double doubles but so did Howard (16 points 12 rebounds, 10 offensive!) and Pippen (10 points 11 rebounds 8 assists). If Malik Rose makes his free throws the Spurs win. http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...206&teamfee=-1
G4: I sweep the series 4-0 with a 99-91 home win. Duncan (27 points, 9 rebounds, 5 blocks) and Robinson (16 points and 14 rebounds, 7 offensive) didn't want to lose. Unfortunately, neither did Dwight Howard (27 points 13 rebounds) or Scottie Pippen (26 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists). Dennis Rodman also grabbed 13 rebounds, and Magic dished 11 assists. http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...213&teamfee=-1
Series MVP: Dwight Howard - 20.5PPG 10.8RPG 0.8APG 2.0BP 0.5SPG shooting .578 from the floor. Up next, Larry Bird and the 1986 Boston Celtics. Shade, aren't you a Celtics fan?
G3: I won 123-83. Scottie Pippen is back, this time with 26 points, 7 boards and 5 assists. Magic (19 points 12 assists) and Howard (15 points 13 boards) had double doubles, while Rodman had 5 points and 17 rebounds. http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...329&teamfee=-1
G4: I sweep the series 4-0 with a 128-111 home win. Pippen is the X-Factor for this series, this time with 29 points. Bird almost had a triple double with 16 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds though he only shot 5/13. Vince Carter also added 27 points and 7 assists. http://www.whatifsports.com/nba/boxs...357&teamfee=-1
Series MVP: Scottie Pippen 26.3PPG 5.8RPG 4.5APG 2.0SPG 0.5BPG shooting .493 FG% and 3/6 from 3 point range
Next up Magic vs Magic, the Toon Squad vs the 1987 Los Angeles Lakers
