Default Re: Daydreaming before sleeping?

Before I fall asleep, I think of things that don't make sense at all. Sometimes, I'll catch myself doing it, and that let's me know that I'm about to fall asleep.

I do it... in fact, i watch these nature/survival videos to help me imagine myself there or in such situations. That generally leads me to daydream and fall asleep, otherwise i have issues doing so.

One time, I imagined myself as a banana running the 100 m dash for Jamaica, and was wondering why the track was so colorful. The colorful track confused me.

Sometimes. But if I am having trouble falling asleep it does help a lot. I'm guessing that the brain uses different processes when it is daydreaming than when it is trying to solve or is worried about problems. Coming up with creative stories takes the focus off of what is keeping me stimulated and lets me drift off.
