Damian Lillard scores 38 in loss to Lakers
Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard went shot for shot with Lakers legend Kobe Bryant for most of Wednesday's game, but ultimately fell short late. Lillard scored a career-high 38 points on 12 of 25 shooting, including a 5 of 11 mark on 3-pointers and a perfect 9-for-9 showing from the free-throw line. Lillard added nine assists and three steals in 43 minutes, but the Blazers failed to pull out the win, in a 113-106 loss. After the game, Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni had nothing but praise for the rookie who nearly foiled his playoff aspirations. "That's about as good as you can get", D'Antoni told reporters. "That's about as good a rookie as I've ever seen."
