Default Nicholas Gage

Wow, this guy gets good roles for no reason. He's completely boring. When I watched Gone in 60 Seconds I was looking around because everytime the guy was talking for a while, it was completely boring. His voice is boring. He's more suited for less action roles. Now the guy has the lead role in Ghost Rider. I was thinking of watching it but when I read Nick had it, i was shaking my head. I might not watch the movie now.

thoughts?

Gone in 60 Seconds for me is one of those movies that I can watch a hundred million times and still not get bored.Just something about it. And I actually like Nick in it, although I'm not a huge fan of him in general.

I see what you're saying with the voice, but it can definately be an asset as well. The Weatherman was great, and his voice suited the character perfectly. He's certainly not the number one guy to look for for big budget action movies though.

Well, im not saying he's a bad actor, but I just don't think he suits into action type movies with the lead role.

Lord of War was pretty decent. but I get where you're coming from.

watching the Ghost Rider trailer, I thought.... is that Nicholas Cage? WTF?

seriously, that line where he delivers : "yeah im good, I feel like my skulls on fire, but I'm good"

just sounds so lame coming out of his mouth.

gone in 60 seconds is arguably his worst movie. what about all the movies he's amazing in? those don't count? watch Matchstick Men and tell me this guy can't act.

Raising Arizona is a classic, I don't think anyone but him could have pulled off that role as well. I liked Wild At Heart a lot too. I do think he has been in several movies that I could see another actor doing better at, but I never walked away from one of his movies thinking he did a poor job. Eva Mendes is who I can't stand. She's not a great actress and there are so many hotter chicks in Hollywood right now than her.

I actually thought that he pulled that off kind of cool.

I like to thank ebert (the reviewer) he said it best in his review of Lord of War. And I quote:

"he plays an immigrant from Ukraine who has the cocky self-assurance, the snaky surface charm(no homo there, none intended), the breezy intellectual justification for the most indefensible acts. He will sell to anyone, anytime, he tells us during his narration, which confides the secrets of his trade: He never sold to Osama bin Laden, because "he was always bouncing checks."

Nicholas cage in some of his best roles, you can't imagine somebody else playing it. If that makes sense. The stoicism, and quirkiness kinda defines him.

I liked him in Face Off, but then 30 minutes into the movie they turned him into a sissy cop...so I guess that's why it was his best role.
