This is a dumb post.

If he shows up and plays, he's one of the highest paid defensive players in NFL history. He's making QB money if he shows up.

If he wants to hold out, he won't get ANY money and will likely be fined. Doesn't hurt the Bucs at all b/c they're not paying him any money if he's not showing up.

Actually after further review he holds no leverage in holding out. He held out before but wasnt getting $16mil per. I'm thinking Revis did this deal with no guarantee because its the most money he will get from anyone. He returns to form next season then TB will keep him another 2 seasons after that. Sure they can release him but TB would explore the option to have him take less money than outright releasing him. So I dont forsee Revis holding out demanding even more money when he actually for the most money he seeked to begin with from TB. He's confident he will still be an elite corner which he should be. TB is desperate for secondary help so this marriage could last a good 3 seasons at the very least.

I thought he would make a stink but looking into this situation and the deal? Nah

he held out TWICE in NY

the guy holds out after every year he plays good...wanting a new deal

if the Tampa contract is front loaded in the first two years then perhaps he will play out those two, but if he is a ProBowler both of those years?...I am betting he won't stick to that same contract, time for $50 mill gauranteed

He has no leverage. TB holds all the cards here. He holds out he doesnt get paid. Not like he becomes a free agent after holding out. Either you make the $16mil the next 6 years or you sit and watch. The situations in NY are not the same as now. Dude is coming off an ACL injury and is getting $16mil per.

Exactly, that is what a hold out is...he sits and gets nothing at all until the team caves in and pays up his demands

Again, he did exactly that in NY twice...

His "leverage" is he won't play unless you pay him...and I am thinking he is going to want big gauranteed money...not money that vanishes completely with an injury

3 years from now he is not going to sit and get $0. He held out twice trying to secure this kind of payday which he got.

No, he held out the first time because of the deal Al have Nnamdi, which he had to beat and he DID which made him the highest paid CB of all time, then he held out again WHILE being the highest paid CB.

Maybe in 3 years he does nothing, but if he is playing well then I doubt it.

After 2 seasons he will be 30. Good luck trying that hold out for more/guarantee money act.

It's hilarious how salty Packers fans are at Seahawks players, still.

okay well when it happens I'll just say "told you so"

I'm very used to doing that here...

you think Revis will just stay happy with that contract the entire 6 years?...guess you didn't learn the first two times he did it

Has nothing to do with that game. Hence why i also included Revis . They are both hard to like and i would rather see someone else who lets their game do the talking take over the reigns.

Could he complain about his deal not being guaranteed? Sure. Will he hold out? No. He doesnt get paid and he will be 30 according to your scenerio where he plays great for 2 seasons. TB holds all the cards here not Revis. Revis is making more money per than he was when he held out twice. Difference.

You told us Landry Jones was great and he isnt even mentioned this draft. You went down to calling him a "sleeper" pick. Hey should I go search your posts about Landry Jones or will he "tell us so"
