You don't spend the top pick in the draft on Rasho's back-up.

So the Raptors should take Marcus Wililams then?? Beacuse he's the only one that would start for the Raptors at the moment.

Bargnani, Aldridge, Gay, Morrison, Roy (maybe)... all would be bench players for the Raptors at the moment.

I would much rather see the Raptors draft Andrea Bargnani then Rudy Gay. Andrea has some legitimate size at 7'1, 250 and can increase the stability of our frontcourt while Rudy Gay would just increase a further log jam at small forward with Charlie Villaneuva and Joey Graham already having the starting and backup positions filled.

If we draft Rudy Gay, it would point towards a trade, which would most likely mean that Villaneuva is being moved, as he has been mentioned as the most valuable to move, I would believe that he would be moved for a point guard, since it's our position of need.

The drafting of Rudy Gay though, would still leave us without a legitimate option at the center position, which is why I would like the Raptors to draft the Italian, Andrea Bargnani.

That's good. Charlotte wants to pick him but having seen and read up on him a bit of him now, that's probably not a good idea. The guy seems to coast too much, and that's not going to change once he gets into the NBA much. Better Toronto take him.

That scenerio you just said makes the most sence out of any ideas i have heard so far. And even if we found him to be amazing we could end up keeping him and im sure BC could figure something out for the PG position

Also is ukich coming back this season or next, because im sure he could hold off the position until we found a good starting PG.

Aldridge could start at center, Brandon Roy would easily take the starting SG spot, and if Bargnani is for real then he should challenge for the Center position. Might as well put Gay at SG if they draft him as well. The top pick in the draft is going to be very important to TO's future, far more of a priority than any benefit there may be to playing Rasho.

The Rapters need Marcus Williams. He could average 7-8 assists per game as a rookie on the Rapters with about 8-9 points and content with Morrison for Rookie of the Year.

Aldridge wouldn't immediatly start at center, but maybe halfway through the season or so. Brandon Roy would not overtake MoPete as the starting SG. I don't see Gay being able to play the 2, not in his first year anyway.

You cant pass up great talent to satisfy a need. Toronto needs someone to back up the 3 & 4.
You can when the player who satisfies the need has MORE TALENT than the player in question! jeez. why do people act like Aldridge has no talent and Barg is a certain top 5 player? Aldridge has just as much if not more physical ability, and has shown more skill, and can use post moves, something less than a dozen players in the NBA currently can, and less than 5 big guys can.

I did forget Morris Peterson. He's good, but if Brandon Roy can't surpass him then Brandon Roy isn't worth the top pick. A college senior should be better prepared than that.

I really hope that the Raps do pick Barg so they can continue to suck though. That way Bulls can begin being the greatest team in the league by taking Aldridge. And the Blazers can have their guy, and the Bobcats can have theirs, and the Hawks can have theirs. Everything works out. And best of all, Tyrus Thomas might fall all the way to the Warriors, which would be just too dope.

this is how I WANT it to go:

1. Tor: Bargnani
2. Chi: Aldridge
3. Cha: Gay
4. Por: Morrison
5. Atl: Shelden
6. don't know, don't care
7. Bos: Marcus Williams

Don't screw this one up, Boston.

So I guess you and an NBA GM might have a different opinion on the talent level of these players. I wonder whose opinion us fans should take more seriously...

Why can you not acknowledge the fact that Andrea Bargnani may be a legitimate talent and may have not only more talent, but also more potential then LaMarcus Aldridge. The fact that Bargnani plays in Europe doesn't mean that he only shoots threes, the kid is already doing great things in Europe, a very competitive league. To write this kid off already, as you are obviously doing, because you cannot seemingly grasp the possibility that he may be better then Aldridge, would be a gross error. I hope you aren't this naive when he begins playing games, watch the kid, and hopefully you can educate yourself that there are great players outside of NCAA College Basketball. These same players can come into the NBA and make an impact.
