Default Anyone that thinks Lebron should have won MVP over Rose in 2011

you are wrong. these are stats for both of them against the top 8 teams in the NBA for that season (chi, mia, bos, orl, san,LA,dal, okc)

rose
26.94 points 6.84 assist bulls record 13-6

lebron
25.9 points 7 assist miami heat record 8-10

add the fact that rose lead the bulls to win the last 12 games against these top 8 teams. and lebron losing 6 of the last 9 games.

It's been proven again and again that Thibs is the MVP of the Bulls. Rose was on the 2010 team; yet, only when TT arrived in 2011 did they jump from win-totals in the 40s to the 60s.

Last year, they lose Rose during the season, and everyone says that they're finished. Instead, Thibs keeps driving them to the #1 seed, and they don't lose a beat during the regular season.

Now this year, in a full 82 game slate, TT manages to get a team with no stars to 45 wins, the #5 seed, and a first round series victory over an opponent who had HCA, with a roster that resembled a walking infirmary.

Thibs is truly a Popovich-level coach. With a better superstar at the helm on the floor, the man would be set for a dynasty.

I have to agree. Thibs doesn't get enough credit for the team's success.

I wonder what Bulls management really feels about Rose's future with the team. What happens if and when he gets injured again?

I see that you left out them losing to a crappy Sixers team in the postseason, this is incredibly disappointing for a team that had a shot to beat the Heat with Rose.

ECF showed the real MVP. Rose was being hidden underneath Wade and LeBron's fingernails. 6%.

The Heat coasted through that regular season and the Bulls played like every game was a Game 7. I remember it. Thats why the stats are like that. Now if you look at the post-season, things change.

1. Rose + Noah were out for the majority of the series. A slew of other injuries haunted the Bulls last post-season.

2. Those same crappy Sixers took Boston to 7 games in the next round. Then Boston pushed the title winners to 7 games as well.

Dwight was phenomenal that year. I really felt like he should have won. Its a shame our team completely disappeared in the playoffs. I felt so bad for him.
