the first 2 seasons were my fav(season 1 and prequel).. the finale were epic.
the season Spartacus got replaced (r.i.p. to original) it was still good, but I think it got weaker. Especially the girl that played Crixus's love interest. I wanted to slap her so badly.

I haven't watched the newest ending season. It good?

First two seasons were bloody fantastic. Never seen anything like that before, 10/10. Best scene was were the trident dude captured the guy in the area in the net and set him on fire, not a single shit was given by the trident dude.

As for shows similar. HBO's Rome is also a show really similar. It's a shame they cancelled that

Uhhhh yeah.....look at my avy. One of my favorite alltime time shows. It has everything! Story, sex, action, intrigue, violence, drama....

The last two seasons were fine. Nobody could help that Andy was replaced. If you're a fan you can appreciate all the seasons. The little ending tribute to Andy at the end of the credits to the last episode was awesome....touching.

Speaking about the fire net......if not for the very last episode of the series....the whole fire pit episode in Gods of the Arena is my favorite episode. That was probably the most epic fight in the arena in all seasons. Looking at wikipedia...the fire pit episode is the highest ratings episode in all.

That could be the GOAT episode in all of TV. Episode made me want to be a gladiator lol.

The first season with Liam(the new Spartacus) was okay. But I think it was more due to it's story line. It was very slow and just lacking the action the previous two season had. The season did finish strong though.

I love this show! I hated that it ended. I started watching it over. I didn't care too much for new Neavia either and I wanted Ceasar to die. Some other shows that I watch that are good are: Hannibal, Grimm, Breaking Bad, SoA, and Game of thrones. I tried Vikings but I couldn't get into it. I'm gonna try it again though.

My wife was crying during the finale. I must admit, when they showed Andy at the end of the credits yelling, "I AM SPARTACUS!" .....that got to me a little. My avy is a little tribute to him. My wife also cried when Crixus said farewell to Naevia.

Now that the show ended.....nothing comes close to its epicness. I hope Steven Deknight's knew scifi project is just as grand. He said it was a cross between Halo and Band of Brothers....hhhmmmm....he's got my attention.

I won't lie, I got choked up and misty eyed in the finale.

I don't think I've ever been that moved watching a TV show, but you'd have to be an android not to after watching these characters.

I was skeptical going into the subsequent two seasons of the show. My friend told me it was still good, after I gave up after the first season after the original Spartacus' passing (RIP Andy Whitfield).

The new Sparatcus did an amazing job though as did the writers. Epic through and through an Krasses and Glaber were epic villians as well, along with Asher and Lucretia.

I heard rumours about a Julius Caesar spinoff. I'd watch it, I liked the guy who played Caesar in the last season, he could definately pull of a leading role.

You should watch HBO's Rome. Very similar show to Spartacus..

Another underacted character is Batiatus. I thought he was fantastic with his acting and I love the emotion he displayed in scenes. I love his random lines like(although he never said this), "By jupiter's **** Spartacus if you don't win I'll make certain your wife gets raped by a pack of Gauls!"
