I don't know I would have been comfortable with us paying him 3 mill. The Pacers obviously are in a different situation that us. They don't have as many huge holes in their roster. Good for him. Sucks he had to go to the enemy though. Wish he went to New Orleans as originally reported.

I do think the Knicks could have found a suitable replacement for cheaper. Depending on who they bring in he could be beat out as back up. But I dont think Woodson would allow it.

Some movement as of late.

Sebastian Telfair would certainly consider playing for the Knicks next season, according to his agent Andy Miller.
"He certainly would consider the Knicks strongly," Miller said. Telfair went to Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn and jumped straight to the pros, but this would be the first time he calls NY home as he enters his 10th season in the NBA. He would just provide depth

Rockets re-signed G/F Francisco Garcia to a two-year, $2.6 million contract.
The second year of this veteran's minimum deal will be a player's option. Garcia appeared in 18 games for the Rockets after a mid-season trade last year, averaging 6.4 points in 17.6 minutes a night. He'll be the Rockets' ninth or tenth man once again this season.

Clippers re-signed SF Matt Barnes to a three-year, $11 million contract.
Look for Barnes to play the same energy role he filled off the bench last season, when he averaged 10.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 25.7 minutes a night. It's a nice glue piece for a Clippers team that also added shooting via J.J. Redick in free agency.

The Spurs are not expected to re-sign restricted free agent Gary Neal.
The Spurs chose to roll with Marco Belinelli as their sharpshooter off the bench. Neal will land on his feet after averaging 9.5 points in just 21.8 minutes per game last season.

Neal and sebas would be sweet.

I didn't see the prigioni thing as. So dumb until realizing that you can give a multi year vet min contract. You guys are right that the 3 mill could have been a big help.

Knicks squad is looking so weak in comparison to their rivals. I wish they could burn Amare's contract and change owners. I would be completely confident in this franchise's future and direction at that point.

Regardless of that the Knicks will make the playoffs. Thats about it. There arent too many legit teams in the East.

Making the playoffs and getting booted after one or two rounds just isn't good enough anymore. The front office needs to shake things up and make moves like the Nets recently did.

The bad part rooting for the Knicks is we have spent money. Its not a market issue or money issue. Its just a bad organization. The only executive that had autonomy was IT. I dont think any other person as long as Dolan is in charge will let basketball people make basketball decisions. If you are looking for team to root for and have hopes for championships this IS NOT the organization. This is a financial institution.

This team hasnt been about championships for years.

Zwerling was high or something, his tweet said the Knicks MIGHT be looking, since he plays defense and can hit a three.

In other words, he was guessing.

The only problem waiting past July 10 is guys will have offers while the Knicks have shown interest. I do think they put their eggs in 1 basket and when it doesnt come to fruition they make panic moves.

Free agent guard Will Bynum will agree to a two-year, $5.75 million deal to stay with the Pistons.
Bynum could see his name called at some point in a shallow backcourt including the inconsistent Brandon Knight, rookie SG Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and enigmatic Rodney Stuckey. As usual, good luck figuring out when that will happen.

Glen Rice Jr. signed his rookie-scale contract with the Wizards on Monday.
Rice rebuilt his draft stock with a strong season in the D-League, averaging 14.5 points, 1.8 threes, 6.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.0 blocks in just 26 minutes per game.

Baron Davis is working out and may be attempting an NBA comeback, according to Sean Deveney of the Sporting News.
Deveney's source acknowledges that a B-Diddy comeback is a "longshot," which is kind. He is 34 years old coming off major surgery to repair a torn ACL, MCL and patella tendon, and he struggled with back pain and conditioning issues prior to blowing out his knee. We'll have plenty of advance warning if an NBA team considers signing him.
Source: Sean Deveney on Twitter Jul 8 - 6:12 PM

Quote:
Former lottery pick Jonny Flynn is playing for the Pacers' Summer League team, and he finished Monday's game with five points, three assists and three turnovers in 12 minutes.
The free agent PG spent the 2012-13 season playing in Australia and it's doubtful that he'll make a regular season roster.
