Even if it's true we still don't have anyone to give up for him. We aren't getting Rondo.

I don't know how Bily King pulled it off but I'm thinking something very fishy is going on. I know NYC is a lot more attractive a place than Minnesota, but how the hell did they get Andrei Kirilenko? How the hell do you opt out of a 10 million dollar deal to take 3.2 in a FAR more expensive city to live in? CLEARLY some money is being shared under the table

And this also goes a long way to eliminating the excuse of nobody wanting to lay in NYC.

Update:Nick Young went to the Lakers for 1.2 million

No one said NYC. Not ever once. We said the Knicks.

The Nets signed Andrei Kirilenko to a one-year, $3.1 million contract, according to Peter Vescey.
Multiple outlets have confirmed the deal and reported it also contains a player option for the 2014-15 season. Kirilenko opted out of a $10.2 million salary for 2013-14 in search of a multiyear deal, but the market for him dried up after the Timberwolves wouldn't agree to sign-and-trades with OKC and the Spurs. Kirilenko is a huge get for a Nets team that was seriously lacking depth at small forward. He'll likely be Paul Pierce's primary backup but could still see 20 to 25 minutes a night.

Knicks want to test Shumpert's ball handling in Summer League before adding third PG

LAS VEGAS While Glen Grunwald said hell likely sign a third point guard to the roster, the Knicks GM said hes eyeing Iman Shumpert during the summer league to see if he can pick up the ballhandling slack this season.

Shumpert played a lot of point guard at Georgia Tech but was turned mostly into a 2/3 with the Knicks.

We need another player to play point guard, Grunwald said Thursday on a conference call introducing Andrea Bargnani. Well see how Shump does in the summer league. Its always a possibility. Well probably add a third point guard to our team.

The Knicks have missed out on a lot of PG targets already but Sebastian Telfair, Aaron Brooks and even Nate Robinson are still out there. The Knicks only have the $1.7 million remaining from their mini-midlevel exception and also can offer the minimum contracts, pending years of service.

Mike Woodson said Wednesday hed like to see Shumpert extend his game and improve his ballhanding. Shumpert will participate in his first summer-league practice today after being excused for the first two days. The Post has reported Shumpert will likely only play the first three games.

I want to see him mature a little more, Woodson said of Shumpert. He needs to be more aggressive on both sides of the ball. Defensively hes figured it out. Offensively he has to add more to his game and be more of a focal point offensively .Well put him in position to run the team a little bit and also where he plays off that person. Let him play. Thats what he needs to do.

The Knicks will consider starting Raymond Felton and Pablo Prigioni in an all-point-guard backcourt. That was their most successful tandem last season. Hence, theyll need another point guard and Chris Smith isnt deemed ready for a rotation.

Grunwald has to date struck out on the free-agent market but remains optimistic. He said he hopes more teams will waive their players because of the new luxury-tax structure seemingly a reference to Metta World Peaces situation with the Lakers.

We have a number of players interested in playing for us, Grunwald said. We are a pretty good team. Playing in New York is enticing for a lot of people. Im pretty optimistic were going to add good players to our team in the not-so-distant future.

Grunwald said he hoped to re-sign power forward Kenyon Martin to add to their frontcourt depth, commending him for "a great year.''

I wouldn't mind the pickup but I think it is incredibly pathetic that Knick fans (not you guys) are waiting around for this guy like it's LeBron's "Decision".

Personally, I'd rather Dalembert but that's just me. I think we are in dire need of a shot blocker because Chandler just ain't it.

The dude weighs 260, if that isn't big, I dont know what is.

if we get him, yes he would start imo.

He can guard 4's so Melo wont have to.

Bargnani is a 7 foot shooting guard.

At this point I dont care what this team does. Tired of this dysfunctional organization.
I know some of my boys jumped on the Brooklyn team when they came to the city.

I'm gonna passively watch the Knicks team.

Gary Neal
Ron artest

Get this crazy mofo.
He's definitely not great but he can play and is also tough. Not to mention that with him and J.R. on the team the fun is guaranteed

I love the Knicks actually going younger with Toure Murry and Jeremy Tyler having a legit shot to make the roster.
