Wojnarowski tweeting the Knicks are becoming more inclined to include 2018 first round draft pick to get deal done for Lowry...

We will never have a pick again

No 2014, 2016, and if this deal happens no 2018. Crazy1

Carmelo, Jr, bargnani
for
boozer, deng, jimmy butler, Chicago 14 & 16 1sts

throw in Teague and snell for little smith. And murry

knicks have picks every year and cap space to go get some real stars and can build around shumpert, butler, and chandler. Everybody wins right?

Wait a minute. We had to hear your clamor for Bargnani every time you posted for like 2 years and now you wanna trade him? Lay your face on the back of my hand lol

I dont think its a bad trade but I dont think the Bulls would give up so much.

FIXED!

Quote:
Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan vetoed a trade that would have sent Kyle Lowry to the Knicks, sources told the Daily News.
"There are two problems," the source said. "Dolan didnít like that someone from his group leaked it to the media, and the other problem is the Knicks seem to have too many (people)involved with making decisions." The report adds that the deal is not dead and would "almost assuredly" include Raymond Felton, but the Knicks do want to keep Tim Hardaway Jr., Metta World Peace and Iman Shumpert as possible trading pieces.

hmmm......

Do you expect anything less from the Knicks? Such a risky move in trading a 2018 draft pick for Kyle Lowry.

At the time Carmelo will be around 35(if he's still on the squad or not retired mind you), Chandler will probably be long gone(same with State who'll probably be gone much sooner).

So that means our current core will pretty much be all gone and we can't even develop a new core since we don't even have any draft picks. Hopefully the pick is atleast top 5 protected unlike the pick we gave for Eddy Curry

And it's this constant trading of draft picks that never allows us to rebuild and always puts us in the "Win now" or pretty much just end up fighting for the 8th seed

Marbury, Eddy Curry, Jalen Rose, Stevie Francis, McGrady, Melo, etc.. When will it stop!

that trade is for you guys. I was surprised to see people on the NBA forum seeing this as a landslide win for the bulls. Shows what losing does to players value. I don't think that would be a good deal for the knocks at all. Unless they struck gold w both picks.

the whole goal still needs to be getting a pg. I don't think Lowry is the guy but I guess they at least see the position of need.

"too many decision makers" sounds like he may want 1 boss. Time for Phil Jackson as gm and coach if he doesn't have somebody to implement the triangle.

Did Dolan veto a trade because it was leaked to the media?

So he would sacrifice making his own team better based on principle?

His life makes no sense.

From my understanding it was over the draft pick, but I think that was Mills in his ear.

Either way, good deal on him...too much for a rental.

I like Lowry but I'm not giving up any draft picks for him. We don't have any as it is. He'll be a FA this offseason. Makes zero sense. Toronto wants to get rid of him anyway. Draw a line in the sand. Take this or suck a big one. End of the day, Lowry isn't a once in lifetime type of player. If we really want him, we can sign him this summer lol

Rember the Knicks were dumb enough to do the samething for Bargs. Since when did NY become Toronto's dumping ground.

Quote:
The Lakers recently called the Knicks to "express their interest" in trading for Iman Shumpert, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard (Bootard).
The call was described as "due diligence" since the Knicks are known to be shopping Shumpert, though previous reports suggest they'd like to package him with Amare Stoudemire in any deal. Broussard reports that L.A. is also considering making a separate offer in which they'd send Pau Gasol in exchange for Tyson Chandler, and we'll let you know if these trade scenarios turn into anything substantial.

Thats an interesting idea. Is dumping JRs salary and adding Derozan worth our 2018 draft pick though? (in addition to adding Lowry)
