beno if anything should have excelled since he wouldnt have had to do much.

MWP wasnt healthy at all during the year, his knee was just that messed up.

What if 2 different trades worked?

Chandler/prigioni
For
Josh smith/jerebko

And

Amare, Hardaway jr, Felton, 1st
For
Sanders, illyasova, mayo, Zaza

Sanders/josh smith/illyasovs/jerebko
Bargnani/Zaza

Turning the most expensive front court of all time into the best.

Fortunately I trust Phil will bring in solid role players instead of overpaid players and undesirables.

Bring them in how? All these solid role players out there will all come for min wage? Why nobody else will be offering anything to those guys will be a mystery.

Are you actually a believer that chandler and amare should expire and the Knicks should drop payroll ?

You're acting like trading expires means much these days they dont. And I doubt Phil see's much value in the players you are suggesting. For example do you think Phil would have been stupid enough to bring in Bargs for so much to an already salary capped team? I thinks not.

I have no problem in getting rid of any player from the Knicks because there are no stars or studs on the team. But I dont think taking back guys that will probably sit at the end of the bench for most teams or a disgustingly overpaid player like Josh Smith (who I like but not at that price tag).

Yeah I think Phil will really like bargnani.

Expirers are still valuable. To teams w lower salaries.

Yeah I think Phil would see a lot in Larry sanders and josh smith. Even illyasova,Zaza, jerebko

A lot more out of sanders and smith than chandler/amare.

I'm not saying it would be better to get josh smith and Larry sanders than it would be to get Kevin love. I'm just assuming that love won't force his way to ny and make min accept chandler, shumpert, hard away jr, 1st

To believe that ny can wait and just sign him without losing hardaway, shumpert; or pick is naive.

Ok so I've mastered the fixing the roster by trades.

But what if Phil can't make any big trades. There is still the draft and he has let it be known he wants a pick.

Is anyone even willing to go out on a huge limb and mention 2nd round draft prospects that could help the Knicks?

Obviously the biggest need is point gaurd but bigs are also needed.

Pg- nick Johnson. I can't believe he is considered a 2nd rounder. Great size and athleticism would give the Knicks 2 things right off the bat that prigioni and Felton don't.

Elfeid Payton looks like a stud but is looking to be ranked as a late 1st.

Bigs- Patrick young and Dwight Powell will be nba players right away.

Porzingis is the most interesting late 1st round big

I hop Phil doesnt get wrapped up into the "name chasing/overrated player" nonsense.

We already have Bargnani, couldnt even imagine have Josh Smith and his dumb brother from another, Larry sanders.

Phil has scouts....go find our Shelvin mack, our Cartier Martin, our Pero Antic our Mike Scott.
