Arrow question for the chef heads out there

(was gonna say kitchen heads but I can only imagine where that would go)

I see everyone on TV, after handling meat, simply wipe their hands with a towel and then go about touching whatever.

this blows my damn min

Same here. Every time it happens my focus immediately shifts to all the shit they touch.

I hate when someone is cooking food for you and they take zero precaution in food handling. You see them use the same knife that they just cut raw meat with to prepare something that goes straight to the table. You either have to eat the food and hope you don't catch something, or look like an asshole and not eat.

I generally try to avoid those type of situations if I know raw meat is involved, because I'm a huge ***** when it comes to that shit.

but yea, TV is TV with its own priorities, but if someone is making food in front of you and does that, there's gotta be a strategic way of piping up, especially if the target food doesn't get cooked.

"uh, i caught a parasite from undercooked meat last year, don't wanna get another."

"my gut is really touchy... sensitive to meat bacteria..."

um...

- no need to wash chicken before roasting, probably ditto with most meats. all you'll really do is spread the bacteria around.

- keep your toilet seat down when you flush for the same reason, and your toothbrush a safe distance away!
