Default Why don't mock drafts project Peyton Siva being drafted?

Won the NCAA tourney, hes 6'0 in shoes and can shoot and has insane athleticism.

He cannot shoot. He shot 28% from 3 this season.

Actually most sites have him going as a late 2nd rounder.

If Siva and the Spurs are a second round match, he will become the next Michael Redd or Gilbert Arenas second round all-star player.

Yeah, he really can't shoot. And he's had four years to get it, and it's just not there. And his fearlessness attacking the rim probably won't pay off at the next level enough, even as creative as he is.

He can definitely stick as a press the tempo change of pace kind of guy, and he can be a legit disruptive defender for 10 minutes a night. But even then he's got to seriously reduce his tendency to turn the ball over. It's one thing when you're your teams top option and you have to force things, but as a backup PG in the NBA, especially one who isn't going to be explosively scoring the ball, turnovers just aren't gonna go over real well.
