Default Houston fans, tell us about......Francisco Garcia

Free Agency starts July 1st. So for the next 2 months, this will be an ongoing series to get to know some of the lesser sought after free agents. What better way to do that than to get that teams fans to comment....

So please tell us about the free agents strengths, weaknesses, intangibles, potential, injury history, possible contract demands, free agency ambitions, desire to stay with current team, likes, dislikes, pet peeves, and of course....sexual orientation.

The players we've looked at so far:

Jason Maxiell : http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=298408

Great veteran, he makes his experience known when he's on the floor. Good shooter, average athleticism but can guard 1-3 positions effectively. From what I've read in interviews, he's a great locker room guy nd doesn't speak very good English .

On D has sneaky timing on blocks/steals, fearless shooter (can be a good or bad thing), when hes not jacking he's a fairly smart player. Moves very nice off the ball he's a far better player than Steve Novak.

Would love for the Rockets to re-sign him. He's a vets minimum-type guy at this point, IMO. He's a competent defender and can hit big shots. Great guy for a playoff team to have on their roster.

I don't even know the difference between Garcia and Delfino.

Both are effectively the same type of player, veteran shooters off the bench with solid basketball IQ and good locker room presence.

You really should be asking Kings fans who have seen much more of him. But you aren't...

His defence on Durant was great in the Thunder series, was the first time I really saw him play as a Spurs fan. Would like to see the Spurs grab his as a Kawhi backup for the minimum/room exception

Garcia is a little bit better defender while Delfino is a more polished offensive player with better ball handling.

I agree though, the difference is small..
