Default Theres a Trade on the Horizon..But who should we get?

It looks like the knicks can get certain players on the block.
Drew Gooden
Ron Artest
Ruben Patterson.

All somewhat defensive but what do we need?
What are we willing to give up to get him?
We can consider the large chance of AK47 or Paul Pierce
Again..who should we get BE REALISTIC
And who should we give up?

Eddie Jones would have been an awesome addition from the bench. Look at how his play has been rejuvenated since joining the Heat. SF/SG flexibility would have helped alot last night against Stephen Jackson and Monta Ellis. I don't care about his age. The guy can still play.

Defense is what the Knicks are lacking. So I'd make a prudent choice and bring a "bad boy" to the Knicks. Artest would be the logical decision. He can run the floor, pass, dribble, is court savvy, rebound, block, steal, box out, shoot free throws, hit the timely dagger three pointer, hustles and is overall an outstanding DEFENDER. What this team needs. Last nite was proof of that. Give up anybody that isn't putting heart in to their play. But, if I had to choose it would have to be Jefferies, Frye and Nate Robinson. Robinson is a MOCKERY for the Knicks. The guy has no court awarenes, especially for the PG position. He's just a show off and a 5 foot 7 spectacle that can dunk the ball and that's pretty much it.

My humble opinon. I know it won't happen.

Rose, Francis and James either should retire or be bought out of their contracts. Bring heart to the bench. No hustle, no play. That simple.

i dont see a trade coming from everything you hear dolan doesnt want to take on anymore money, this team isnt going anywhere this year anyway, dont ruin the chemistry let them play together the rest of the year and we can see what we have next year.

There is no one player who can come in and make this team a winner.

It has to start at the top and work it's way down.

This team would find a way to lose even if we had Tim Duncan.

Isiah is not a good coach/GM and that's just they way it is.

found this on wikipedia n thought it was interesting also

After the playoffs, Artest offered to donate his entire salary to keep teammate Bonzi Wells with the team, who became a free agent after the 2005-06 NBA season. He even jokingly threatened to kill Wells if he did not re-sign with the Kings. [7] Wells was later picked up by the Houston Rockets. Artest also offered to donate his salary to retain the services of head coach Rick Adelman, whose contract expired after the same season. Adelman and the Kings did not agree on a contract extension so the two parted ways.

How about jamal or Qrich and Frye for tyson chandler

Paul needs a 2
and with paul frye could get the touches he needs
him and west would be hard to handle in any conference

Tyson and Eddy are boys and can be the front line.
this would be the rotationh

Eddy
Tyson
Lee
Qrich/Jamal
Marbury
Bench
Jared
Balkman
Francis/Nate...Whoever is better at the time.
Jerome and Cato for bigger teams and 12 fouls to use.

We would have a defensive team..but still have Eddy do his thing
Marbury could have the ball in his hands and do what he wants and get the touches he needs to be happy.

Our perimeter guys..Marbury,Qrich,Lee,Francis etc. can gamble and play up since Tyson Chandler is intimidating enough with Jared and Cato off da bench

Zeke jus gotta put Cato to play but das a diff. post.

I wouldnt mind getting Ron Artest... out the list he is the most complete player. But him back in NY would concern me with off the court decision making...

ok a few things first of all dolan would never allow it after what artest did to that camera, second of all isiah and artest dont get along, and third the kings arent looking to trade him, artest is a terrific player but hes a headcase, he could have a disaster if he came here, he could really hurt the young players

completely agree.

No one player will change this team into a winner, unless we get Kobe, LJ, or somebody like that, which isnt going to happen.

There has to be a change from the top and I think it should start from the owner all the way down. I know the owner wont leave, so next in line has to be Isiah. I mean honestly, why are people on his side? Hes had more than enough time to make an impact on the knicks...they suck....theyre a laughing stock of the league(sometimes)...their is no Superstar on this team. I think every team has at least 1 franchise/superstar player...we dont.

i dont agree at all. as of right now they are somewhere around a decent/mediocre team. one player can definitely put them in contention in the east.
