Creating a logjam or not, it's a solid pickup. He can do the dirty work downlow and has a good outside game.
Pretty good, plus some room to make trades if desired.
I have no idea about this guy so I'm not going to pretend like I do, hopefully he will come over cheaply and will make an impact. I don't really know anything else about him so I can't really even input my opinion about where his style of play will fit. I am hopeful that he can adjust to the NBA and help off the bench.
As for the drafting of Bargnani, he would play the center position, even if he isn't a natural center, he will still play it because of his size. We would have Rasho and Bargnani at center. Chris Bosh and Garbajosa seemingly at the power forward position. Charlie Villaneuva and Joey Graham at the small forward position.
It's not a log jam, it's just proper depth, that all good teams have, that we as Toronto fans are probably not used to. It is probably nice to have capable backups at each position for once.
Jose Calderon is currently the starting point guard, Morris Peterson is the starting two guard. At backup point, we have Andre Barrett. Behind Peterson, I can't even think of whom we have, I don't think anyone, but I am very tired, so there is probably someone I am forgetting.
The Raptors will definetly draft a backup 2-guard in the 2nd round. Whether it's James White, Bobby Jones, Denham Brown, Mike Gansey or whoever... one of them will get decent minutes with the Raptors next year.
