Who is the Better defender, Mutumbo or Hakeem "The Dream"?

Gimme Hakeem, I've seen him chase down guards from halfcourt to get the block, he's so damn versatile.

Maybe not "by far" as a defender, but definitely "by far" as a center. Hakeen averaged basically the same blocks or more and rebounds were comparable but he also put over 25 a game along with the defense. there really should be no compairson.

Yeah I know but I was only talking about your statement about blocks. If I had to choose a center for my team, it will be Hakeem hands down. His prime didn't last long but personally I felt like he was the best, some may call me biased but whatever. It is kind of unfair though, he didn't have the greatest talent around him for his career.

So I guess YOU kept the official record of their blocked shots since Wilt's time they didn't keep it as a stat. And for some of Kareem's career.

Hell no! Read my other post. I feel like Hakeem is the best center of all time. Hakeem would have dominated the league when Wilt played. I just said Wilt has more blocks bc of his competition.

It is a given, the guy had many games with 6 or 7 blocks. Everyone knows that, he is unofficially number one. Even when Hakeem broke the record, Houston's own commentators were saying Wilt had more. Anyone who knows the history of the game and watched Wilt played knows that. I am not knocking Hakeem, its just Wilts competition was midgets to him.
