Thumbs up Pip Makin' A Comeback?

Scottie Pippen is seriously considering a comeback and hopes to play for a contending team in this season's playoffs. Pippen, who turned 41 on Sept. 25, says he's in better condition and health than at any time in the last five years. And in the Eastern Conference, his veteran presence could change the balance of power and be a major influence in the playoffs. Or he might be the long-sought backup to relieve the pressure on the Suns' Steve Nash. The possibilities are intriguing. Pippen last played for the Bulls in the 2003-04 season, when knee problems limited him to 23 games. He said he's considering the right situation and plans to talk to some teams and players during the weekend.

It would be nice to see Pip play w/Shaq & DWade. That would be very intriguin'. Ditto if he joined the Pistons.

Oh, I thought it was for wheel chair basketball, my bad.

Seriously, it's amazing that a man's ego can be sustained much longer than the reality of his own physical skills.

He should wear No. 45 like another dude that did a comeback and realized it was a mistake. I hate anything that has or had to do with the Chicago Bulls. I never liked Pippen.

If Robert Horry, Michael Finley and Jerry Stackhouse can still play .. why not Scottie? It would be fun seeing him trying to make a comeback... do you it while you still can!

I totally agree. I always root for players when they make comebacks, why not. If you can still be a productive player and help a team win why not, just because you cant be an all-star should not stop you.

Give it a shot Scottie.

First you diss CA's great voice, then you diss Pip w/out seein' him play in the present. What's w/you blues? You've been drinkin' way too much hatorade man! Pip said he's in better shape than he's been in the last 5 yrs. He could be a great role player for a championship contender. Who are you to say he can't contribute? You remind me of the aholes from BBWC. Them ol' geezers swear by GOD they know it all. No pun intended...you just reflect a lot of what them bastards from bbwc are; bitter ensure lovers. I don't have a prob w/you, I'm just sayin'.

I'm not saying anything bad about "pip".

Just telling it like it is DOG.

He made his money, he has his campionships and it's time to move on.

If he wants to contribute at his age he can coach.

Every player that tried what he is about to do failed.

Unless you keep playing every year as you age you are never going to beat out father time and come back.

The thing about old people like this old dog is that we live in reality.

Just bein' real my man.

Pip played 23 gms in the 03-04 season due to knee injuries. Where's the dignity in that? Pip is in better shape & feels greater than he did in '04. He can't do any worse than when he last played. It couldn't hurt to see what he has left in the tank. He just might raise some eyebrows. I hope a contender signs him.

Naw! So that he would end on a good note; whether it's individually playin' well, or contributin' wit' a contender. He probably feels he ended on a sour note. But whatever! I'm just makin' a for, argument since there are many Pip knockers. I like Pip, just hated him when he played w/the Bulls durin' their reign. But it doesn't matter now! Does it?
