If Hakeem was even considered a top-10 player, he has been surpassed by a Lebron who has a considerably better resume already.

And, while Bird has one more ring, Lebron's overall resume is better. And I'm sorry, but Lebron has been better in the post-season.

Thereal question will be...just how high does Lebron finish when his career is over? At 28, and barring injury, he still has 3-4, or more, prime seasons left.

Lebron is now in the lower part of my top 10, but top 5? No chance. As far as players from the 90's on(meaning players whose primes were in the 90's, 00's or 10's) I still have to say MJ, Shaq and Hakeem were better.

Ill make a thread with my own top ten list one of these days. It is a very unique top ten list and looks almost opposite of yours.

All I will say is that Shaq is the best player ever. Much better than Jordan.

There has never been a player much better than Jordan, even if you believe there were better players than Jordan.

There are lots of players much better than Jordan. People have just bought into the media hype about him originally to sell shoes so now its almost considered a fact that hes the best.

No 6'5 guard can effect the game as much as a dominant two way playing 7 footer.

So why was Jordan more dominant in the regular season AND the playoffs than ANY 7 footer?

He wasn't unless the only thing your looking at is putting the ball in the basket.

Jordan was the greatest scorer ever, but these dominant 7 footers could all score 25+ PPG(almost as much as Jordan) while also getting double digit rebounds, anchoring defenses, and also being a guy you can run your offense through for easy points. When you have a huge 7 foot monster the game becomes easier for everyone. They make their teams better.

The only person Jordan makes better is Jordan.

Despite all that Jordan was more a productive player in the regular season and especially the playoffs than ANY 7 footer was.

Jordan was the best player on a team that won 72 games. LOL at not making his teams better.

No way in hell you can put Lebron ahead of Hakeem, Hakeem was simply a much more skilled basketball player, he did with the Rocket what Lebron couldn't with the Cavs and that was take a mediocre team to a championship.

He would've been a MVP if not for MJ as well.

Is that why Jordans bulls suffered the smallest dropoff of any team that lost their "star"?

Russell BOS 1970: -14 games won
Wilt LAL 1973: -13 games won
Bird BOS 1989(missed the entire season): -15 games won
Magic LAL 1992: -15 games won
Shaq ORL 1997: -15 games won
Hakeem HOU 2001: -17 games won
Shaq LAL 2005: -22 games won
LeBron CLE 2011: -42 games won

Jordan 94: -2 games won

3 Bulls on the 94 team had career years and all made the allstar team(Pippen,Armstrong,Horace) without Jordan.

The teams defensive rating was 106 with Jordan in 93 and improved to 102.7 in 94 without him. Pete Myers improved the team defensively when given Jordans minutes.

Yeah because Jordan having Pippen, Rodman, and Phil Jackson as his coach and the Magic losing Horace Grant for the series in Game 1 had nothing to do with that.

When Shaq had Phil Jackson as his coach he became the most unstoppable force in basketball history.

When the Bulls lacked an interior presence the year before and the Magic had a healthy Horace Grant, the Magic absolutely ****ed Jordans Bulls. Jordan has absolutely no impact in the interior(the most important area of the court).

Too easy.

Lebron's playoff run was pretty underwhelming. Only 1 very good series IMO. I was expecting more of a 2012 esque performance. If he would've done that I probably would've said he was "arguably" top 10 right up there with Kobe, Duncan, and Hakeem, but now I can't say that. I'm sure he'll get there in my eyes, but not as of now.
