Thumbs up Is anybody surprised Lee MVP?

Is anybody surprised David Lee won the MVP in the Sophomore vs. Rookie game.

I wouldn't be surprised if he won both most improved and sixth man awards too.

Would any other team in the league want him and most of them start him and play him about 38 minutes a game?

No, but Isiah has a plan.

He starts Jerome James instead for 5 minutes.......

"Bring him off the bench, he's our ENERGIZER." Spare me the BS. What the CRACK FIEND does coaching this team is IDIOTIC. It makes no sense. Those five minutes that Jerom James plays in the game regardless if he starts or comes of the bench are the least productive five minutes ever. Those are five minutes that Lee could produce for the team.

With last nights showing I know that teams that didn't look at him at least glanced and I know they are just a bit more interested in this guy. He's good. Plain and simple. Show him some respect and give him some props by starting him the rest of the season. Every minute counts in a game. Don't give any to someone who isn't a basketball player with heart, like Jerom James. I hate him.

Lee you are loved. Props to you. You deserve at least some type of recognition for this season. I'm happy for you man.

I am not. Knick fans were crying about Zeke getting David Lee. Now, people are starting to see the results. Zeke is the man!!

Im not surprised, this kid has some serious talent. He's going to be a 16 and 13 guy in his prime.

im not surprised he won the mvp. i was happy for him. besides the 14-14 he had 11 boards which isnt surprising and like 3-4 assist so he had an overall good game. now nate got to win the dunk contest so it can be a knicks weekend.

lee got 30 pts in this game but didnt show me much. truthfully noone was playing d. if you cant hit 14 uncontested layups n dunks then maybe u shouldnt be in the nba. i like lee and hes a good player but this game is gonna get him overhyped right now. he needs to develop his game if he wants to be a real good player and not just a good hustle player. he has very little of an offensive game. they would never draw a play for him. why? cuz what play would you draw for him unless its like a cut to the basket. almost all of his points are putbacks and fast break/cut to the basket moves. he has no jump shot and no post game. he also is a defensive liability. i like lee and hope he can be a real good player but he has a way to go.

you make it sound so easy. Ellis missed a layup...Bogut missed a layup...and if it's so easy...how come its not more frequent? Only 3 players before were perfect.

not really nor do i really care, you or me could score 30 in that game, no one even attempts to play defense, 150 points in 40 mins lol that tells you all you need to know about that game

I agree...and the other 2 players were 2 for 2....He is a great hustle guy and if u see knick games u know he does much more...good passer for a big..runs da break...and is a tough all around player.

My favorite player of all time is Pistol Pete and Lee is creeping into my top 10 fav. not best but fav.

Whoever still hates on him now is just rediculous.

Oh yeh who da hell said it was a bad pick at da 30th? I thought it was a steal at that time and should have gone much earlier...If you saw him play in HS u understand that he evolves as a player and he has one more evolution to attain to be an all star SMALL FORWARD...The knicks gotta trade Frye and Crawford for a dfensive 4 and put Lee at the 3. With a jump shot theres no stopping him.
Hes no dynamic scorer at all but he can give you 13-15 pts a game with 12 rebounds.

I remember him takin his shirt off durin the dunk contest in HS against White(who was rediculous). I also remember him in FL being a general down low and the anchor for the block for 4 years. So y shouldnt he perform at a high level in the NBA?

So no im not suprised...im just happy the world got to see his good work.
And this game is not pointless..whenever 10 guys go to a gym to compete...its not point less and me nor anyone in this forum unless your a nba player could drop 30 pts and 11 boards in yesterdays game.
