I think Dooms had the best draft and has the best team overall...and I'm not just saying that because he is my buddy...I didn't say that last year, I said it about Portman's team last year...
Doom's team is stacked...top to bottom
the ONLY spot that seems a bit weak is maybe TE, other than that he is elite everywhere
I don't think my RBs are elite.... I just have solid players, and a $hit
load of depth. Jacquizz Rodgers didn't do anything this week, but that
guy had 53 receptions last year, he'll get some action eventually...
but I guess if I'm gonna drop somebody, he'd be the first to go......
(or Bradford, even though he scored more points than Matt Ryan)
I have very very very high hopes for Matt Ryan, but I definitely should've
put Peyton Manning higher on my draft board now that he has Welker.
These are my QB fantasy power rankings after week one
(might have a little bias towards Romo... I admit it)
1.) Peyton Manning
2.) Aaron Rodgers
3.) Drew Breeze
4.) Cameron Newton
5.) Matt Ryan
6.) Colin Kaepernick ^
7.) Tony Romo
8.) Eli Manning ^
9.) Matthew Stafford
10.) Tom Brady
11.) Andrew Luck
13.) Michael Vick
14.) Sam Bradford
15.) Matt Schaub
Yeah, very close game. I would never have guessed that Rivers would have thrown 4 TDs and not one would go to Gates. Oh well, my team just had a meh week (other than Peyton of course). Good game Dooms you've got a nice squad.
I had Gates last year (drafted him way too high)....
and he was the most frustrating player on my team.
I used him at FLEX spot a few times after I grabbed
Heath Miller in FA week 2.
....and that move was probably the reason I made the playoffs.
(Miller finished top 5 in TE fantasy points)
anyways, Antonio Gates will never be the badd@ss he was a few years
ago... I wouldn't have high expectations for him if I were you...
Dooms team is great wow, amazing week and MJD and Gore produced nothing for him wow.
JBs has a nice team actually as well, save for Gates. Spiller and Ridley will improve a ton of course and are studz.
Now I see why SCY lost because of getting nothing from his WR corps. Seems like Decker might be 4th option now for Denver? Julius Thomas is a stud stud TE, and you have Demaryius and Welker as the 1-2 obviously...
Wow Illini I did not know how high the ceilings were for your RBs. Lamar Miller will improve a lot, same with Bernard he's just 100x better than BJGE. Despite that lack of production still put up 150 pts. This is the best team on paper in the league IMO only injuries can stop him.
Natalie Portman's team is actually very good everywhere except WR1, basically he does not have a Wr1 since Mike Wallace is a huge bust for fantasy. The good news is for him he's got a elite TE1 in Julius
PT's team has good news and bad. Well he's got a elite QB for one, for two the best WR corps in this league by far, and possibly three WR1s as his WRs. Witten is a great TE. Unfortunately this team completely ignored the RB spot putting out two horrible fantasy RBs in ivory and mendenhall, you can find better on the waiver wire probably. Little, horrific, not sure why anyone would ever start him, unless they wanted to have 0 points.
Also good news bad news for RBA. Good news is elite QB Stafford will get his every week. WR corps is loaded. T-Rich will be huge this year, David Wilson will also rebound to have a very nice year. Finley he has a top end TE1 he knows that now. The bad news is Bradshaw is probably not flexible.
jazz873 had a massive week and has a very very stacked team. He really has no weakness, 2nd best team in league to Illini.
The good news, though, is that I have Jordan Cameron on my bench who is flexible, imo. I'll probably be starting Jermichael and Cameron for the foreseeable future.
I still think Bradshaw is the best back in Indy. Unfortunately, that offense doesn't seem to produce good FF backs. Even if he ends up getting the most touches, it doesn't mean he's starter material.
I still like my team despite the lackluster week. I'm going to assume TRich and David Wilson aren't going to have many weeks this horrific.
Bradshaw will definitely have flex value by week like 4/5. He just needs to get some reps after missing so much training camp/preseason. Vick Ballard is just average at best.
To have flex value he'll have to be a guy who will get 20 touches or at least 17+ I'd say because of his decline in skill, definitely not at his peak IMO any more but he is still good, and there is some juice left. However IND will not give him that many touches due to fear of injury I believe. I could be wrong, but RBA is sitting pretty as phuck with Finley and Cameron anyway.
Edelman is Bradys #1 target now with Amendola out...I feel like he will be at least playable the entire year and potentially huge.
I also feel like it is unlikely an opportunity like this will come up again this year more than once or twice...we are talking about the #1 WR on the Patriots
he's an elite short term play while Gronk, Amendola, Vereen are all out and Thompkins is not producing. However all 3 Gronk Amendola and Vereen will come back, and those will be the top 3 options. Thompkins will battle for the 4th option with Edelman, potentially Edelman will not be rosterable
