Default the invincible lakers

nash/blake/farmar
bryant/barbosa/meeks
young/w.johnson/austin daye
gasol/k.martin/r.kelly
kaman/hill/sacre

Is that a championship team? Looks pretty complete to me.

Lol, that's definitely not a championship roster.

Barbosa and K Mart would be great adds. But could we get them?

And no that is not a title team at all.

Sure, Kaman will need to average a 20/20, young about 18 points, 3 steals, and Kobe needs to average 30/5/5, while nash hits his shot and averages 12 assists per game, and more importantly, D'Antoni will need to construct the most clever defensive scheme for the playoffs, if we make the playoffs.

Now ask yourself this, are any of what I just said within the realm of possibility?

The last one is, because D'Antoni is such a great coach, right DK?

I heard during the summer pro league that NONE of the Memphis Grizzlies averaged more than 17 pts/game. I know they were such a great grind out defensive team but the bench will also be a huge factor.
I like what I saw in Meeks and Blake, Hill was doing good until the injury and when D'Antoni came along. So I cringe at the thought of Mike burying him on the bench.
Will they resign Jamison?
Will Nash/Pau pick and roll be so much better than they had last season?
Can Nash stay healthy?
I love the days before the Kobe/Shaq era with Del Harris finding out ways to make it work with players like Peeler, Lynch etc.
Expectations are low, I can just hope and dream that they will not tank and instead work harder and come up with a few good surprises.

Great Post especially the Del Harris part
I was livid when we traded Peeler but understood that we had to cut salary to sign Shaq.
