Either way the Bulls are going to have trouble ever getting back to 2011 level of play. That team was so deep and now they have no one except starters almost.
For as much shit as I've given Thibs, that man knows how to coach a team now. I thought for sure like 3-4 times last year he lost the locker room. But he pulled it all together and yeah. Seriously dude beat the Nets with no starters and basically third stringers. But the Bulls have hit on almost all their picks lately, which is how they got that deep. Jimmy/Taj were late firsts so is Snell. Asik was a second rounder and now they actually own their second rounders again.
The problem is he's a lot like Karl and doesn't coach superstars well. Because without Rose but with Kirk the offense flows a lot better. But when Rose plays nobody moves, there's ugly bailout passes etc etc. And I think until we get a guy that actually thinks he's good enough to play with Rose, or Thibs becomes a better offensive minded coach the team will always be limited regardless of depth or lack thereof.
In 2012 the offense seemed to flow really well with rose. I think when the offense stagnates whith rose its mostly roses fault. Hes awfully ball dominant and doesnt really know how to run an offense. That stretch in 2012 when he was healthy he was pretty great though.
Are you talking about the lockout season of 11-12? If so I totally agree. I think that was when he was getting everything and it was all coming to him, his assists were higher, his efficiency was kinda better-ish.
This year though it was the stand around bullshit of 10-11, besides like 3 maybe 4 games. And 2 of those were the ones that he actually played well in.
