If I was a GM, I'd stack my team full of guys like Delonte West, David West, Z-Bo, etc. I'm a firm believe in the crazy guys. If you get those guys and they don't hate each other, they'll win an intimidate the shit out of everybody. Kind of like a Bad Boys/Ewing Knicks team.
Deng>Noah on D. I mean, Noah's pretty good, but he's not what he's made out to be. People give him credit on defense for hustle plays, not his actual defense. He's mobile but he misses rotations and he's not great at guarding most real bigs.
The only big he can't guard is Dwight. Kinda Bynum too, but that's assuming he's playing. I can probably count on one hand the number of time Noah has missed rotations in the last 5 years.
Is Delonte still out of the league? Sterns got it out for him. Don't think he's 30 yet and he was great when he was in Dallas.
Yeah he played a few Dleague games last year and then disappeared. He's a really good player, but I do think he's now blackballed. If you put him as the back up PG on the Pacers or something he'd help a lot.
Noah misses rotations quite a bit. Idk what you're talking about. He gets all excited and then goes out further than he should.
He's supposed to do that. That's a Vinny Del Negro concept that stayed because he's more mobile and can guard out to the perimeter. The Bulls defense suffers a lot when he doesn't do that. Taj does the same thing but won't go 19 feet out.
What it does (usually) is when the ball handler cuts back inside the guard can rotate back to the ballhandler. Or if a big gets it the other Bulls big rotates over as he gets to the paint and Noah shifts to his man for the box out. In probably 5 more years when he's not more athletic than most guys he's guarding he won't do it anymore but for right now it works very well.
