we’re gonna take a sport in which players handle a pigskin egg all game long and steal the name from another sport, even though it doesn’t really make sense. why? because handegg sounds retarded and we couldn’t think of anything better.
Both balls are also shaped liked eggs and both sports are the most popular in each country, so it sounds to me like the OP is just another butthurt Euro who is being selective and cant handle the realities of America and how it relates to the world.
those are some fair replies above... good answers IMO.
mike godwin would be very pleased with you!
sounds like you’re having a bad day. hope you feel better soon.
i was born in south america, lived in europe a little, grew up in philly. not a soccer fan.
i came across the image in OP and i giggled and thought "fair point." so i shared. i would not have chosen to add the word "americans" at the end. then again, i see nothing wrong with a tweak if it fits.
kind of interesting the responses re: europe. are you all angry at europe for some reason? that seems pretty wacky to me, since europe and a lot of other places around the world have just as much reason to be angry at us IMO.
