Don't sleep on the '94-95 niners.

Steve Young's best season by far in a hall of fame career.

Deion as a one-year mercenary who won defensive MVP.

A roster practically filled with pro-bowlers at every position. It was put together to do one thing: beat the Cowboys dynasty. And they did.

I remember people making a big deal out of the Pats being what, 17 point favorites in the superbowl? These niners were like 19.5 point favorites, and as everyone on earth predicted, they covered comfortably.

The most "unstoppable" offense I've ever witnessed. There's been many unstoppable offenses that slowed down at the year's end. This one kept going straight on through winning the SB. Oh yea, Steve Young tossed a record 6 tds in the SB as well.

They also had a great defense, allowing only 14 ppg.

The Bears were kind of lucky. They only had to play against two elite QB's the whole year, the rest were guys that put zero fear in you. They lost one of those games, to Marino' Dolphins.

With Aikman, all his weapons....and an unreal offensive line to go along with an elite defense.....I prefer the Cowboys.

You often talk about things you didn't see. I'm 100% sure you didn't see the bears play and are just deriding them for that reason.

I agree, one of the best teams ever assembled.

85 Bears lucky? Wow.

The NFL was more than just a QBs league at one time. Especially in the 80s when they actually played tackle football.

Sure, different time and different league...but there's a huge difference between playing a below average quarterback and a great one. Maybe lucky was a harsh word, they deserve to be champions and one of the all-time great teams, but when comparing them to the likes of other great teams..... you have to nitpick.

List of QB's they played against:

Steve DeBerg
Tony Eason
Tommy Kramer
36 year old and last year of his career Joe Theisman
Randy Wright
Jim Zorn
Eric Hipple
Danny White
David Archer
Phil Simms
Mike Pagal
Ken O'Brein
Steve Grogan (in superbowl)
Deiter Brock (conference championship)

That's a very very favorable group of QB's to play games against.

95 Cowboys get no respect...they were so talented THEY WON THE SB WITH A SUB COACH!!!

they also had 2 HOF players that the 92-93 didn't have, Deion and Allen

1995 Cowboy ProBowlers that were on the roster:

-Troy Aikman
-Michael Irvin
-Daryl Johnston
-Emmitt Smith
-Jay Novacek
-Mark Tuinei
-Nate Newton
-Ray Donaldson
-Larry Allen
-Erik Williams

(lol all 5 starting offensive linemen were ProBowlers, has that ever happened before?)

-Tony Tolbert
-Russell Maryland
-Leon Lett
-Charles Haley
-Deion Sanders
-Darren Woodson
-Brock Marion

18 of the starters on that team were ProBowl talent...and this was before they had subs and everyone was making the ProBowl

and NO NO NO...I'm not saying the ProBowl is proof of anything...just pointing out how many players on that team were celebrated.

also, on that roster there are 5 Hall of Famers with 2 more on the way in Haley and Woodson...that is a total of 7 HOFers on that roster...that is a HOF team for the most part

I'm not sure any other roster can match 7 HOF players and 18 ProBowlers

92 or 93 was way better than 95. And Dallas Cowboys dynasty always gets props/recognized. Or is this one of those posts you wanted to name drop?

Nothing is messing with the 92 team.

I mean the 95 team gets no props in comparison to the 92 and 93 teams...like you just stated

and people view it that way largely just because Jimmy was there for 92 and 93...the 95 team itself was more loaded with player talent than the other teams though. I think it was the most loaded team ever. I love Barry Switzer, he is one of the greatest college coaches ever, but the truth is that while he was with the Cowboys he didn't really have to do ANYTHING...in fact he pretty much let the players do whatever they wanted and act like kids...the team was a damn vacation resort while Switzer was here, and yet they STILL won the Super Bowl and that was all because of the unreal amount of player talent.

That was due to Neil O'Donnell throwing two easy int straight to Larry Brown .... I just began watching football around this time, but recall the earlier teams being more dominant.

ODonnell was awful that day but Dallas wins a ring with or without those INTs and was easily the best team in the NFL that year.

The '07 Patriots could've been one of the GOATS

I'd have to say the '85 Bears are the greatest.
