Default "Patrick Peterson could be a top 5 WR"- Bruce Arians

Quotes here...

http://espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp1...-deion-sanders

Also, his GM says he hasn't seen athleticism like his since Bo and Deion.

And it looks like he will see time at WR.

That would be really cool to see another "full time" year like Deion had in 96.

Top 5 WR

I want to see him at Wr tho regardless. Devin Hester can do it Peterson can.

He can be a difference maker.

When Peterson runs he looks like he's on a different level than most with his explosiveness. I think he can be a devastating weapon in a Percy Harvin role.

Ugh, not a fan of it if I was the Cards.

This is the NFL, not Varsity football.

He would be better than Dez, so what's that? 7-10 area.

Exactly

Even though Deion was just a #3 he was still seen as a major threat with the football and everyone knew exactly where he was on the field when he lined up.

Peterson is also a major threat holding the ball...a playmaker like Deion. It woukd be a waste NOT to use him on offense.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was a beast at WR. Maybe not top 5 good, but certainly a homerun hitter. I've always felt that cornerbacks in particular were some of the greatest athletes in the world.

I watched Charles Woodson quite a bit when he was in high school at Fremont Ross. He was maybe the greatest high school RB I have ever seen and that's saying something. He certainly ranks high on the greatest all-time HS RBs in Ohio's history.

He walked into Michigan with essentially no experience at corner. A couple years later, he became the first primarily defensive player to ever win the Heisman and has had, imo, a HOF career in the NFL.

I'm pretty sure you could have stuck that guy at any position on the field and he would have been dynamite. Peterson is that kind of very rare natural athlete.

They are but on average they are just much shorter than WRs are, because shorter athletes can change directions quicker than taller ones...and CBs need to be able to change directions in the blink of an eye.

Deion was 6'1" though and Peterson 6'2" and Woodson 6'1" as well...I think that is a really big part of why they could/can exist as WRs...the typical CB is 5'10"-5'11" which would be a very short WR.

I thought it was that Dez is not quite top ten and Peterson would be just ahead of that. I used the .... because it's absurd to say he'd be better than Dez
