Reports are that FIBA wants a $675,000 non-refundable fee (even if you don't get selected) to apply for a wildcard.

Teams supposedly in the running are:

Turkey
Greece
Russia
Italy
Germany
China
Brazil
Nigeria
Tunisia
Canada
Venezuela

So FIBA makes $7,425,000 off the wildcards? I bet they regret expanding the tournament for 2019 at that money.

Sasa Obradovic (former player) is also a contender for NT job, so he was maybe reffering to him.

From what I hear, the wildcards will be voted on by November.

Russia and Germany each have a member on the 5 seat council that votes on who gets a wildcard. So they have a huge inside advantage.

It's not insults, it's just stating truth. When we say Rudy Fernandez is a low class bastard, are we insulting him, or just stating truth?

Even if Obradovic is a bad person he still can't be that bad because he couldn't win as much if every player hated him. I think that our every great coach is control freak, agressive, stubborn, manipulativ and some othere things. Thats what makes them great in my oppinion.

Forgot about him, I think he would do better job than Dzikic, Maljkovic, Trifunovic...

Bunch of low basketball IQ players, who didnt experience professional level of baskebtall for more than 4 years. You showed your point. Canada is irrelevant on international level since 2000

Nothing beats a good camaraderie with perfect chemistry. Those 4 along with Obradovic should work together and bring back Serbia to relevancy.

Greece should only get if if they promise to get rid of Spanoulis and Bourossis and replace them with Calathes and Koufos and let Diamintidis run the team.
