Chip Kelly? Vick simply can't stay healthy. He's not big enough to play the position, nor is he apparently smart enough to save himself the 4-6 unnecessary hits he subjects himself to game after game after game.
Kelly's offense is the last, best fit for Vick. As an Eagles fan, I felt all along the offense would look really great at times, until Vick gets hurt. Once he's hurt, his decision making becomes even poorer. Then he gets injured. Then it's over.
Teams that run that pace don't know how to kill clock, and that's an area in which Vick and the Eagles have already been horrible for a couple years. You can't base all you do on "GO GO GO", then suddenly say "SLOW SLOW SLOW".
Just like his Oregon teams, leads will get cut into because either his team goes against all their instincts or (b) they get tired from trying to maintain the pace, resulting in turnovers and quick possessions. Unlike his Oregon teams, his second team can't come in and close the deal vs San Jose St and the like.
Philly is, at best, a 6-7 win team. They should be thanking whatever deity they thank for getting Washington in week 1 before Griffin was really ready to go. As long as he stays healthy, that's the class of the NFC East.
I looked at it with my own eyes,” Harbaugh said via Comcast SportsNet Bay Area. “I could see two punches thrown to Joe’s head — well, one punch and one open slap, which . . . if you’re going to go to the face, come with some knuckles. I think that young man works very hard on being a tough guy. He’ll have some repairing to do to his image after the slap.”
