What is an MVP share? Average voting finish?

Surprised how "bad" of a rebound number West has, but I guess his average only looks good because of era, so it makes sense in retrospect.

Not the average finish, but your total finishes combined
Quote:
Award Share
The formula is (award points) / (maximum number of award points). For example, in the 2002-03 MVP voting Tim Duncan had 962 points out of a possible 1190. His MVP award share is 962 / 1190 = 0.81.

Oscar only played in 11 career Finals games, and 7 of them came in 1974, the last year of his career at 35 years old. His numbers were good in the '71 series win while he was still young.
