Robinson.
On another tier offensively to me, and protected basket as good as anyone ever.

Hard to argue there. But it would have helped if he had that steroid mentality. He was not tenacious or mentally strong - Rodman used to dog him hard about it. He definitely wasn't as skilled as KG, nor the leader. KG is also one of the smartest basketball ball players to ever play the game.

^--- this is why I think, as much as I love the center position... i might side towards KG... the IQ and the aggression can go a long way. They're both so close though IMO that I may pick one or the other just depending on the day

Kg was mentally fragile and ran from shots for a big part of his career. I find it funny at all of that was forgiven after he won that title with the Celtics.

Robinson was a better player. There isn't anything KG did better.

Yeah, a mood thing. as there are definitely times where I could roll with Robinson. Robinson with somebody like Nash would have been unbelievable.

I agreed. I believe many probably never watch KG during his T-Wolve days. KG rarely takes the game winning shot or try to take the game over during crunch time. It was always Marbury, and Troy Hudson that stepped up.

Robinson wasn't any better. Both Rodman and Avery Johnson knew David was not a leader and both stated that he was weak mentally.

Prime KG, but at their ABSOLUTE peak? DRob all day. Just a flat-out better combination of offense and defense.

the admiral

defensively, its a push. id personally give drob a slight edge.

offensively, drob was much better.

when drob was on his own, most of the time, his team was elite or borderline elite. when kg was on his own, his team always hovered around the lower half of the western playoff teams.

Robinson 'on his own' still had guys like Avery Johnson, Mo Cheeks, Sleepy Floyd, Doc Rivers, Sean Elliot, Vinny Del Negro, Dominique Wilkins, Moses Malone, Dennis Rodman, Rod Strickland, Dale Ellis, Vernon Maxwell, and Chuck Person.

He had solid role players and most of those guys played multiple years with the organization. Mo, 'Nique, and Moses were near the end of their careers, but still.

Erm, except passing, dribbling and shooting.

Last time I checked, passing, dribbling and shooting were quite important in the game of basketball.

Robinson was a better open court player then KG...

KG might have him beat in the post...but with the ball DROB could create and get past his defender....better then some SG's
