Electric Slide is starting to rub some people the wrong way
Default Re: Anyone else rank Sherman over Revis now?

No, Revis is still better but Sherman is the only one with an argument.

So Revis isnt the best due to injury based on LAST SEASON "he has to prove himself!". Yet Brandon Flowers doesnt even get a mention because Dez got the best of him this season despite the FACT Brandon Flowers had the metrics last season "he proved himself" that screamed "top CB". Makes absolutely perfect sense.

Flowers got torched...

this catch is amazing but Dez still has clear separation...

Dez had 9 catches on Flowers...for 141 yards...and 1 TD

Dez also had another throw just like that on Flowers which hit him square in the hands and he dropped...

I don't see Revis or Sherman giving up numbers like that to ANY WR...even Calvin

I like your 1 game sample size!

I guess Eddie Royal is the best receiver in the game after his 3 TD game against Philly?

If you get eatin alive the way Flowers did then you can't be considered the best in the league...sorry

Esp when Sherman is busy shutting WRs down completely...

There is absolutely no argument for Flowers over Sherman right now...

I think we can all agree Flowers is a very good corner, top 15 in the league at the least I would think off hand, but he's not Sherman.

With that said Sherm isn't without stains on his short career either, Roddy White toasted him in the playoffs IIRC.

Green torched Tillman in Week 1. But without bias, I still say Peanut is a top-5 CB with all that he brings to the position.

Sometimes CB's just get burned. If Flowers goes and shuts down D. Thomas it'll be his day to shine like it was for Bryant on Sunday.

Shhhhhhh dont tell primetime that. He discredits Brandon Flowers last season being a top CB but uses last season for Revis on why he isnt the best CB today. Doesnt even give Flowers a mention when he tosses out names just recalls Dez toasting him. Yet he mentions Tillman who Green torched week 1. Guy is all over the place.

I never said Flowers wasn't a top CB...I said he isn't THE top CB

you guys are acting like his name deserves mention in this Sherman vs. Revis thread...it doesn't

Flowers is probably borderline top-10 for me...

Revis
Sherman
Tillman
Haden
Carr
Webb
Cromartie
Patrick Peterson although Calvin had a couple scores on him last week, but that is Calvin
Finnegan
Janoris Jenkins
Browner

probably have Flowers after those names

Thats funny considering you made a thread on underrated CBs and labelled him a stud.

I have no clue really. The TV angles don't give you view of the WR routes...they focus in on the QB and the offensive line vs defensive line until the ball is thrown, so how you do u guys even judge this?

Tillman is top 3 against big, physical receivers. Versus the smaller, speedier wideouts? Eh, not so much.
