I've said my reasons why he's not their - I value the combination of elite pass rusher + very good to elite run defender over what Kuechly has done.

Kuechly didn't exactly have a great game sunday night. He hustled his ass off, but made no impact plays and only one or two plays around the line of scrimmage.....Gronk got open consistently on him.....and he got lucky not getting that penalty upheld at the end of the game.

Since we keep getting updates every week in this thread on how Peyton is on pace to break the all time single season records for yards passing and touchdowns...........

he's no longer currently on pace to break the yards passing record after throwing for just 150 yards in the game against the Patriots.

If the Broncos struggle to end out the season and the Saints win out I could see Brees winning it tbh. Only realistic candidates are Manning and Brees.

Wasn't he the same in this thread last year?

How did that work out?

Why do you have to act like this in these threads? Everyone knows he is the leading candidate. But he isn't for sure the winner yet. You kept saying it last year and it got REALLY damn annoying, especially when Peterson realistically had a chance at it.

Then sure enough in the end, Peterson actually won it.

So just lighten up with all this Nostradamus stuff.

And you are being absolutely extremely bizarre to claim Brady isn't an MVP candidate. Under every single possible measure and scenario he has to be in the top 5, at the very least.

Cam Newton should be moved into top 4 at least.

I still think Peyton has the lead, but it is slowly dwindling. I think both Brees and Calvin have a chance to overtake him.

Russell Wilson has no business being ahead of Calvin Johnson in your rankings. Johnson is on pace to have the 3rd most receiving yards in a season, along with the 5th-15th most receiving touchdowns in a season. All of this despite missing a game. A game where the Lions scored 9 points, or 12 points lower than there previous season low.

I think what Wilson has done playing behind a pretty terrible pass blocking line and without a true #1 receiver is worthy. He's playing really well.
