Default What coaches do you envision being on the hot seat?

I work in a casino, see people nightly that come from different parts of the country. Last night while watching the Steelers/Bengals there were Steelers fans saying Tomlin needed to be canned. Could anybody see that?

What guys could potentially be on the hot seat?

I think Tomlin is safe.

I can imagine Jason Garret is on the hot seat.

Other candidates for me is Schianno(mainly due to him can't handling the lockeroom) and possibly Shannahan.

TBH I never though much of Tomlin and I always thought he won with Cowher's team but I don't think he will be fired.

Rex Ryan will be. Loudmouth coach, rookie QB who will probably stink it up and NY Media is not a good mix.

Tomlin on the hot-seat?

I can't think of more than two or three other coaches who's job is more secure.

I'd be highly shocked if Rex Ryan is still coaching the Jets next year unless by some miracle they make another AFC Championship game. He'll be picked up by another team somewhere though as a head coach. Someone else will give him a shot.

As crazy as it seems maybe, if the Bengals under perform and miss the playoffs I think Marvin Lewis is out.

Jim Schwartz. If the Lions don't finish 8-8 I think it's time to try something new.

Rooneys are too patient to ditch Tomlin this quick. Cowher had some lean years in Pittsburgh too but the organization stayed the course.

I can't forsee the Steelers firing Tomlin. They pride themselves on stability. I think if they do end up having a poor year, they'll chalk it up to a variety of factors, and give him another shot.

If the Bengals don't do something in the playoffs this year, then Marvin needs to be canned, but I've been saying that for years. As it stands, he's the first head coach in NFL history to have 10 years with one team/0 playoff wins.

Schiano will be gone IMO - the players absolutely hate him.

I'm with you man. I've been on that wave-length for years too. If the Bengals make the playoffs, even if they lose in the first round for a third consecutive season in a row, I think his job is still safe. Any other franchise, Marvin Lewis would have already been canned by now.

I don't think anyone has thought of this ... but what if a year or two ago, Brown lets Marvin Lewis go (finally) and we bring in Andy Reid as he was leaving Philly.
