When a 18 year old come to the league with a "King" label, you know the media is strong.

When you are king james, everything you do is overhyped for better or for worse.

Agree with this, and I think it's the same for Kobe in some ways. LeBron is a better defender than Kobe though. Kobe can be good but only when he wants to be, which isn't that often.

Meh, prime Kobe guarded the other teams best player a lot more than LeBron does. If you put prime Kobe in a system like LeBron is in where all he is asked to do is play the passing lanes and try to create turnovers, I don't think he'd be much worse at it if even worse at all.

This whole stigma that LeBron can "guard all 5 positions" is a load of crock. Where was LeBron in the Finals when Duncan was going ham? Oh thats right, he shutdown Kendrick Perkins two years ago though so he can guard centers.

In the playoffs this past year LeBron was awful on defense in the ECF and Finals 90% of the time. Of course the 10% of the time he does good is what the media focuses on. The Heat are also allowed to play much more physical defense than the rest of the league. In game 7 of the ECF they were playing some violent ass double teams on Hibbert and West and the refs weren't calling shit, yet if you touch Wade or LeBron its a foul. Don't forget that LeBron went nearly a month without a foul being called on him...

Vastly overrated defender. He Coast 90% of every game defensivly and plays 10% defense and gets regarded as a great defender. media hype bullshit.

Hey preschool dropout, you brought up the votes.
You said Lebron is advantaged over 3 guys, as their votes are spread out.
Yet said 3 guys combined have less votes than Lebron.
I am merely pointing out your lack of logic.
The DERP is strong.

The DERP is strong.

I listed random centers who are better defensive players than he is, idiot. I'm not the one who brought up votes either, pauk did.

There is no "lack of logic" in what I said. The media votes for ONE center from all the centers in the league. A hand full of these centers are more valuable defensively and simply better defensive players than LeBron is.

There is nothing a loser Heat bandwagoner like yourself can do to change that. They are simply facts.

LeBron is allowed to be good at help defense because Wade and Battier will guard the other teams best player while LeBron takes the non threat which allows him to take risks in the passing lanes. Don't tell me that LeBron is more important to a defensive scheme when his job is much easier to carry out (although he is very good at it.) and less important since you usually get a mere 1-2 steals a game from it while other guys are taking on the daunting, more important task of trying to slow down actual good scorers...

Don't tell me that in the 2011 Finals when Wade/Battier were guarding Durant and LeBron was guarding Perkins that LeBron was more important for their defense...
lies
It was only when LeBron, not battier, guarded him in game 2-5 that KD fell in point production

LeBron defends Carmelo Anthony better than anybody in the league and below top 30 caliber defense wouldn't do that.

Watch some games son. NBA Coaches >>>> your $Hitty Opinion. Lebron is a great team defender, and he also blocked Duncan, Hibbert, and splitter in the playoffs.
