Subjective. No such thing as "best".

Depends what you like obviously. If you like warm weather, Cali/Florida. If you like murders, Chicago.

I'm not really sure what I like. I've spent my whole life in the Northeast. Never been out west, never been to the south...I think I'm going to go on a road trip next summer and explore a bit and was wondering places to check out

I hate the south. I went out west to Denver for the first time in my life recently. Denver is an incredible city. Nice weather, cost of living isn't crazy, lots of stuff to do both in terms of night life, attractions, and national parks. Tons of craft breweries around too. I'd move there if I could.

Depends on your lifestyle and income.

If I was wealthy, SoCal would be my choice. Great weather, large city is nearby in LA, Vegas is a car ride away and quality of life is generally good.

As an average person, I choose a place with decent whether and low COL. Places like Florida and Texas have warm weather, no state income tax and so forth.

If your a city type of person than NYC is the best place. Or possibly Chicago which is like a mini NY and cheaper.

I haven't been everywhere, but Boulder, CO is a pretty fvcking sweet town. Portland is great, Taos NM, I hear Miami is sweet.... Depends on what you're looking for.

What are your interests?
