Default Re: Teddy Bridgewater or Jadeveon Clowney?

Clowney has bone spurs in his foot that will need surgery after the season is done, which is slowing him down. If a team wants to pass on him because they need a QB, then that is fine. But it would be idiotic to pass on him, and justify with his performance on the field. The draft is about future potential, not past results. Otherwise Johnny Manziel should go #1 if you draft based on production this year.

Funny Jemele Hill says Bridgewater was the best QB prospect she gets kiled in here now there is a thread about who is going number 1....

Clowney is more hype than substance IMHO. Guy is a specialist not an every down player. Someone will be dumb enough to take this guy high and it better not be the Jets.

Not that I am advocating the Jets take Bridgewater. The Jets dont have a RB, or good OL, or offensive weapons. I don't know if any QB can cure those ills. I think the Jets QB desires will not be known until the Jets see what Geno is.

More hype than substance? Statements like this diminish his entire body of work (including being the #1 prospect in all of high school football in 2011 and has validated that with his play on field ever since) make it seem like his only accomplishment was the hit against Michigan, ignoring the fact that e.

Seeing that raw propsects like Ziggy Ansah (4.5 sacks at BYU) or Dion Jordan (14.5 sacks at Oregon) were drafted top 10 based solely on potential and athletic ability; I don't see how we can criticize a guy who has produced in the SEC against the biggest and best offensive lines in the country. And not just produced, he dominated registering 8 sacks as a freshman and led the nation in sacks (13) last year while being 2nd in tackles for loss (21.5).

Plain and simple Clowney is the real deal, and I can't wait til next year when he gets to prove it and shut everybody up.
