There is no more hip hop in 2013

It was an awesome movement, full of energy and sick beats and it inspired a culture...now that shit died down.

All thats left is a bunch of confused young kids doing a terrible job of recreating it in their image, and a few OGs still making money off the name they built.

But hip hop is definitely dead.

Good thing I'm not French Canadian then, so I can fully grasp the level of shittiness in the music you deem great

You don't even have a generation. The millennia kids are just an assortments of soulless kids that think posting drivel online is individuality. There's no more musical talent, everyone is like look what I can do with five second snippets on vine and random mix tapes and iTunes singles.

Talent needs harvesting. Entertainment has such a short lifespan these days that it's not even worth making physical copies of it because it will already be null and void by the time it gets distributed.

The garbage that exists today lives for a short blurb, a few floating megabytes in a sea of infinite virtual space. Poof it's gone before it got here, YouTube has already suggested something else.

acid rap is super overrated but its good for what it is.

boats 2 is quite good. havent listened to it much

trap lord is ok.

mchg was solid.

something else by tech n9ne is my album of the year though. very good features but i would have traded tpain, ceelo, game, and wiz for more TDE (no jay rock was a shame).

yeezus was super top heavy but everyones top is different so i guess that makes it a really good album.

wolf sucked. and i listened to some of "summer knights" by joey bada$$ and thought that sucked.

Qwel and Maker "Beautiful Raw" is very good, I'm enjoying Hiero "Kitchen", check out Ka "the Night's Gambit", the Tech N9ne was enjoyable. The big name guys were pretty blah so far this year, disappointed in Goodie Mobb, Bronsolino's "Saab Stories" was shitty, maybe 5 good songs combined between Jay Z, Kanye, and J. Cole. A$ap Rocky, Pusha T, Chance, Earl, El-P and Killer Mike all worth a look. Oh, check out Uptown XO "colour grey" and Tony Touch's "Piece Maker 3: Return of the 50 emcees" A lot of good songs but not a lot of albums really knocking me back yet in 2013.
