my dream job was to play in tha NBA and have more rings than Jordan, but failed miserably even though im still nice its just i need that crucial training and coach to help me on my game more, i didnt take that opportunity back then, i didn't want to go thru that hard work, so thats my fault. My other dream job will be accomplished soon, been working on it for a while, and im not giving any hints yet, i will let be a surprise
To get paid and make a comfortable living producing beautiful music.... I really don't know what career could make a person any happier.
The way I see professional classical musicians is that they get paid to be as close to a robot as humanly possible. The ones who are good at what they do only get there by endlessly practicing and rehearsing the exact same segments over and over.
I really like going to piano concerts and as an amateur player I'm often humbled by the sheer skill of some of the performers, but I would never want to be one of them.
In the music business as a whole it would be much better to be an out of spotlight composer/creator of music. Like the guy behind Tiesto's music. Dude gets paid millions for a couple weeks of work a year and is completely free to do whatever he wants and be whatever he wants, while the front guy has to be on a plane every other day and promote the music.
Any creative field where you have final say on what comes out would be great. A few years ago I was having a busy, rough day at work and my coworker/friend said," what you are doing now is where god wants you to be." I finally now understand that he was right.
