I like what this says about Mo Williams' trade value.

Telfair: 21 years old, 6'0", 9.5/3.6/1.8 on 39% shooting, with 1.7 turnovers
Williams: 23 years old, 6'1", 12.1/4/2.5 on 42% shooting, with 1.8 turnovers

If Telfair is worth a #7, maybe we can trade Williams for a #5. Williams is taller, and better at every single stat.

not necessarily, they might still get AI. the pick was never a part of the philly trade, over the weekend, i think they will get cleveland involved, maybe drew gooden, and a couple of fillers from all three teams and AI will end up in celtic green.

In the short run its a good trade for the Celtics IF Telfair develops. Given PP's demand for a veteran, however, it seems to me that the management is doing a poor job placating those demands by getting a young PG who struggled to start for a really young and bad team in Portland. However, given what they could have got in this draft (M. Williams, Foye at best a maybe at 7). I still see West as their starter so Telfair will be riding the pine still.

Raptors need to hold Morrison hostage for those 2 picks. Portland should look towards being horrible for another year anyways and try for Oden... they can't possibly get screwed this bad in the lottery 2 years in a row

Celts need a PG more than anything. Telfair is better than any PG available. Meanwhile Portland has an overabundance of PGs and basically nothing else, good trade, now they can get a C to replace Przy.

That's what I'd say. Pierce can't wait for some distant draft hope to develop, he needs help now. And Telfair definitely has talent, let's hope he makes something out of it.
