Thing is, if they feel the Bobcats are going to take their man... They'll want to trade.
They are high on Aldridge too so we could have pretended we were going to pick him. Infact a lot of teams are intrested in Aldridge (more so than barg) but they know we likely won't pick him so they don't really have any motive to get the first pick. And I think Chicago is likely to take Tyrus unless he was lieing about the guarentee so Portland thinks they have a Alridge/Morrison guarente, so I can't see them having any reason to get the #1 unless they are really really in love with Ammo.

Thing is, Aldridge could go in the number 2 spot either to the Bulls or to someone that they trade the pick to... and if the Bobcats are going to take Morrison... that would leave Portland with neither of the guys they covet.
EDIT: Not saying that the Bobcats will take Morrison, but if Portland thinks they might.
Boston gave up #7 pick, Raef Lafrentz, and Dickau for Telfair and Theo Ratliff. If you ask me thats a good trade, Ratliff will definetly give boston a sense of Defense they've been missing.

Yea Bobcats are high on Gay too. I was assuming the Bulls take Thomas since they have been speculated to do so and he himself admitted that he was guarenteed a top 3 pick so he stopped working out (using the groin injury excuse). I don't know...even though it was nice having a GM who actually tells his fans something (unlike Babcock), I wonder if that might hurt us. Oh well regardless, our team is getting better as of today
Telfair could be good, he's certainly too young to give up on, but I'm not enthused about getting the third-string pg off one of the worst teams in the NBA, even if he's only 21. What qualities has he shown that make him a better player or prospect than Randy Foye, Marcus Williams, or possibly even Rudy Gay?
