Today's team?

THE TORONTO RAPTORS

PG - Lowry/Augustin/Buycks
SG - DeOneandonly DeMar DeRozan/Fields/Ross
SF - Bicurious/Novakaine/Daye
PF - Johnson/Hands Bro/Acy
C - Valanciunas/Gray

Head Coach - Dwane Casey
General Manager - Masai Ujiri

1. Doctor Evil talking to Masai Ujiri:
"You're not quite tanking enough. Well, it's true.
You're quasi-tanking.
You're semi-tanking.
You're the margarine of tanking.
You're the Diet Coke of tanking. Just one calorie, not tanking enough!"

Should Raptors make moves by the trade deadline to tank even more?

2. More important Raptors subtraction: Andrea Bargnani or Bryan Colangelo.

3. After a better season, which player will we think more highly of next summer than this summer: Rudy Gay, DeMar Derozan, or Kyle Lowry.

4. TRUE or FALSE: Jonas Valancinuas has All Star potential.
I hear JV's black teammates like him so much, they call themselves the Jonas Brothers.

5. TRUE or FALSE: The Toronto Raptors will make the playoffs this season.

BONUS IDEA

Drake is now the Global Ambassador for the Toronto Raptors. Say whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
No, not Drake's the makers of Ring Dings, Devil Dogs, and Yodels. The OTHER Drake...the half black/half Jew Canadian rapper. Duh!
It's true. As a Raptor fan, he started from the bottom, but now he's here:

Ambassador, eh? This got me thinking....EVERY team should have an Ambassador.
Preferably someone famous. Someone interesting. Someone intriguing. Someone that can help us create...

THE NBA UNITED NATIONS

So tell us your favorite team, and who should be the their NBA UNITED NATIONS AMBASSADOR.

Is Spike Lee a slam dunk for the Knicks or what?

Big thanks to Legends66NBA7 for questions help. Repped!

Next up: Utah Jazz. Have a Five Question suggestion for the Jazz? Send me a PM with ideas.

i don't think they make the playoffs. They could, but i think out of Atl, Cle, Wash, Tor, Det, they will probably not get there.

J-Val does have all star potential if he stays healthy and continues to improve

This would have been a great draft for them to tank for this year but that ship has already sailed.

1. Should Raptors make moves by the trade deadline to tank even more?
A -- I'll never advocate for tanking. Not to mention, the Raptors are solid at PG, SF, C. If they could find a willing trade partner for Rudy Gay, then I'd be all for that... Maybe Salmons, Hayes, Patterson for Gay and a first?

2. More important Raptors subtraction: Andrea Bargnani or Bryan Colangelo.

A -- The Raptors upgraded from one of the worst GMs to one of the best, so that's huge. But, based solely on the fact of what they got for Bargs, I'd say that subtraction was more meaningful. Then again, is it a Catch-22 of sorts in that getting rid of Colangelo is why they were able to get rid of Bargs? My head hurts.

3. After a better season, which player will we think more highly of next summer than this summer: Rudy Gay, DeMar Derozan, or Kyle Lowry.
A -- Lowry. He showed me so much in Houston. I thought he had real breakout potential. He has since fizzled. Derozan and Gay I expect to be quality players.

4. TRUE or FALSE: Jonas Valancinuas has All Star potential.
A -- Without a doubt true. This year? Maybe not. But down the line he most certainly does.

5. TRUE or FALSE: The Toronto Raptors will make the playoffs this season.
A -- False, but it will be close. Maybe the 10th or so seed.

BONUS IDEA
So tell us your favorite team, and who should be the their NBA UNITED NATIONS AMBASSADOR.
A -- Bulls fan, but I can't think of an ambassador, and don't really care to look one up. I feel as though an ambassador should be an obvious choice; therefore, if it's not obvious to me, then it's not a great choice.

They should probably tank further. I know raptors fans think they will be in the mix for a playoff spot this year, but I dont see it. Does RG eye surgery actually help him become more efficient?

2. More important Raptors subtraction: Andrea Bargnani or Bryan Colangelo.

This is a hard one. BArgs was woeful, but he was only one player on the court. Colangelo actually assembled this crapshack. I think the role of the GM in acquiring players and setting the team culture/expectation is more important.

3. After a better season, which player will we think more highly of next summer than this summer: Rudy Gay, DeMar Derozan, or Kyle Lowry.

Lowry. He is the more complete player of the three and was highly regarded several years ago (and rightly so). Gay is older and known. Derozan is an athlete.

4. TRUE or FALSE: Jonas Valancinuas has All Star potential.
I hear JV's black teammates like him so much, they call themselves the Jonas Brothers.

Lame. The Jonas Brothers reside in Motown with JV. False. He is a capable solid young big, but he is unlikely to see an allstar spot where generally only 1 true center is on the team. He is unlikely to ever be the best center in the East.

5. TRUE or FALSE: The Toronto Raptors will make the playoffs this season.

Are they tanking or not? False. After the 5 for sures, the hawks, pistons wizards and cavs all have a better chance IMO.

BONUS IDEA
THE NBA UNITED NATIONS

Pistons. definitely not kid rock. it should be Bill Laimbeer IMO. But if it must be a non bball celebrity, how about...... ICP!

Should Raptors make moves by the trade deadline to tank even more?

Raptors will end up deciding which way they want to go based on their performance after All-Star Game. If they are below the 8th spot, they will tank hard, trading every valuable assets expect Valenciunas for picks and be ready for the Wiggins Sweepstake.

2. More important Raptors subtraction: Andrea Bargnani or Bryan Colangelo.

Colangelo, since he is the one who drafted then built up Bargnani terribly. Bargnani has tools to be a good NBA player but BC screwed it up by choosing to babysitting him.

3. After a better season, which player will we think more highly of next summer than this summer: Rudy Gay, DeMar Derozan, or Kyle Lowry.

Lowry, DeRozan, then Gay.

4. TRUE or FALSE: Jonas Valancinuas has All Star potential.
I hear JV's black teammates like him so much, they call themselves the Jonas Brothers.

TRUE. JV's mentality is an anti-Bargnani.

5. TRUE or FALSE: The Toronto Raptors will make the playoffs this season.

50/50, but I'll say FALSE.

I don't think BC is the worst. The task he took is just way too difficult. I would have been easy to the College Rule wasn't applied at his first year as Raptors GM. Oden and Durant would have been available and he would pick Durant since SF was the position Raptors had been lack of for a long time, and that would have made things a lot easier for Colangelo.

1. Masai has already stated that he is going to see how this team fairs and then go from there. If we start off bad, he will pull the trigger and start tearing the team apart. I personally do hope we tank and go for Wiggins.

2. Colangelo, simply because he had more negative impact on the team because if we wanted we could just throw Bargnani on the bench until his contract runs out. If BC was still here we can't stop him from making more moves that will harm the team.

3. DeRozan. He will show that he is worth the contract he received, and that there isn't that big of a gap between Gay and himself like people make it seem. Lowry will try to prove himself in a contract year but I don't think he can properly run a team, and will most likely get injured.

4. True, he is going to take a huge step forward this year. Hopefully an Allstar by 2016.

5. It really depends on whether or not Masai decides to build onto the team or tear it apart. If I have to guess based on how the team is right now, i'd say false.

Just a technicality, but I said "one of" the worst. Not "The" worst.

1. Should Raptors make moves by the trade deadline to tank even more?
The move to tank should've already happened. As is, this team will tread water anywhere from a 7th to 11th seed. By mid-season it might already be too late to tank and this will go down as another wasted season. There needs to be some clear direction for this franchise other than continual mediocrity. So far, I haven't seen it. As of right now, there is almost nothing that gives me hope for this franchise to become a legit conference contender in the next 3 or so years.

2. More important Raptors subtraction: Andrea Bargnani or Bryan Colangelo.
Colangelo. He was the root of every problem with the Raptors over the past 5+ years.

3. After a better season, which player will we think more highly of next summer than this summer: Rudy Gay, DeMar Derozan, or Kyle Lowry.
Lowry. IMO, he's already the best player out of the 3 and would be a damn solid starter even on a good team. He just needs to stay healthy and play aggressively (can those two things happen together?). Towards the end of last year, the Raptors turned him into a passive distributor which neutered basically everything that makes him an effective offensive player.

Gay is 27 and is entering his 8th year in the NBA. He's peaked and not where you'd want him to.

Derozan's primary gaps in talent (ball-handling and shooting) are essential to the position he plays and not easily fixable. Unless there are significant gains in those areas, he won't be anything more than an average starter at best. And that's not even mentioning his crap defense.

4. TRUE or FALSE: Jonas Valancinuas has All Star potential.
True. I see his ceiling as a better rebounding Brook Lopez. That to me is a damn good player. Hopefully he can reach that.

5. TRUE or FALSE: The Toronto Raptors will make the playoffs this season.
I'll go with False but again, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Raptors finish anywhere from 7th to 11th if no further roster changes are made.

1. Should Raptors make moves by the trade deadline to tank even more?
--I don't know their pick situation or what the management wants, but they need to tank for 1 more year. Everything is setting up for Wiggins to Toronto, other than, apparently, Toronto wanting Wiggins.

2. More important Raptors subtraction: Andrea Bargnani or Bryan Colangelo.
--Without Colangelo is there Bargnani? Or all the other Craptors mistakes?

3. After a better season, which player will we think more highly of next summer than this summer: Rudy Gay, DeMar Derozan, or Kyle Lowry.
--None of the above? Lowry, probably. I don't know what Toronto is going to do with him. All I know is that my dislike for the other two players is so high that I won't even consider them an option for this question.

4. TRUE or FALSE: Jonas Valancinuas has All Star potential.
I hear JV's black teammates like him so much, they call themselves the Jonas Brothers.

--In two seasons he will be the second best center in the East behind Noah.

5. TRUE or FALSE: The Toronto Raptors will make the playoffs this season.
--For their sake, I hope not. Tank for Wiggins!

1. Should Raptors make moves by the trade deadline to tank even more?

They're not going to be able to shed enough players, so no.

2. More important Raptors subtraction: Andrea Bargnani or Bryan Colangelo.

BC. Bargs gets too much hate anyway. I expect him to have a good year for the Knickerbockers.

3. After a better season, which player will we think more highly of next summer than this summer: Rudy Gay, DeMar Derozan, or Kyle Lowry.

DeMar. He get underrated as it is anyway.

4. TRUE or FALSE: Jonas Valancinuas has All Star potential.

True. Very good young talent.

5. TRUE or FALSE: The Toronto Raptors will make the playoffs this season.

False. 7-10 is a bit of a log-jam, I don't see them coming out ahead of DET, ATL etc.

So tell us your favorite team, and who should be the their NBA UNITED NATIONS AMBASSADOR.

Spurs, and seeing as there are few choices i'd have to say:
