Default Is Reggie Wayne a HOF'er?

I wasn't aware his career numbers were so good.

It's very likely he finishes top 5 in both REC yards and receptions ALL TIME when he retires.

5 pro bowls, and only all pro team once. Doesnt have much else to brag about when it comes to accolades. So first ballot is out. HOF potential is possible but he'll be waiting for awhile if he wanted to get in. He'll have one foot in the door no doubt. Grab your snickers bar Reggie you're gonna wait.

He's actually a six time pro bowler and three time all-pro.

Also, he's a super bowl champion....which matters to some voters. He also led the league is yards one year.

I think so. Agree with GOBB that it might not be first ballot but he definitely belongs.

Thanks for the correctiona. And sure it'll matter to voters especially wherever he ranks at the end of his career (yards). But my point still stands.

isnt there a huge pile up at the WR position and lots of qualifed guys are not making it in?

Didnt it take Monk and Carter forever to get in?

Owens and Moss should make it in before wayne.

Tim Brown was 2nd in yards, 3rd in receptions and third in touchdowns for WR's ever when he retired and he's still not in the HOF.

That blows my mind.

He won't get in because voters will credit Manning for most of his production, and rightfully so.

He's a compiler. He's also not someone you'd credit with being on a winner, he has the same resume as Manning. That said if you compile that much for that long, you should get in. Just not first ballot.

How does someone on a team that went 115-49 and won a SUPERBOWL since becoming a starter not considered on a winner?

When you're a superbowl champion, you're the definition of being on a winner. You have reached the mountain top.
