I know that he has played like crap, so it doesn't surprise me they have him ranked so low.

Confusing a little bit. I'd like to know how they rate this. Jimmy Grahvm not a top 5 TE? Watt top player yet didn't record a statistic and his detense got a shitload scored on them? Kendrick's has been poor against the pass, great against the run. Demeco had his best game of the year I thought and went down a spot. IS BEN HARTSOCK EVEN ON A TEAM?! Ben Hartsock?!

Credit to Levonte David though. He was making plays all over Sunday.

You can dominate your position and have points scored on your defense. Their are 10 other guys who have jobs to do as well.

Regarding Watt.

Ben Hartsock has zero catches...that one bothers me

I don't care if he can block better than Joe Thomas, if the guy is incapable of making catches then he shouldn't be viewed as the best TE in the league

Default Re: PFF's Top 5 and Bottom 5 by Position (Through Week 5)

Hartstock being #1 really, really bothers me. OK, so he's an amazing blocker, but he doesn't have a catch, being a receiver if a huge part of being a TE, he's not contributing in one of the biggest areas of his position, how can he be #1? He's a great blocker, but he's not an offensive lineman, he's a TE, and since he has no receptions having him #1 is appalling.

The way the grade works is a good block is valued the same as a good catch. A great block is valued the same as a great catch, etc, etc.

Easier to understand given that info.

Jason Hatcher has been every bit as dominate as Suh or anyone else...him being ranked #1 over all those big names, McCoy, Atkins, Suh, etc should say something to fans.

and Hatcher has been dominate EVERY GAME too...it's not like he just had a couple fluke games against weak guards...he has been amazing.
