Default Johnny Manziel should be drafted number 1

Jags, Bucs, Browns, and even the Giants should take Johnny number 1.

He would make an immediate impact for these franchises on and off the field.

If any team dismisses him for his off the field "drama" then they will regret it forever.

Johnny is by far the best player in college football and will make more of an impact than anyone else combined.

He's got the intangibles, the arm, the poise, the athleticism, and the guy is an incredibly intuitive and intelligent QB. He's a natural in the truest sense.

Him being 6'1 is no issue at all. Humongous hands and a tough frame.

Are there really still idiots that think Teddy Bridgewater is the best QB prospect or even Marcus Mariota?

How about Aaron Murray?

Kill yourselves.

So Jags fans, Browns fans, Bucs fans.... BLAME YOUR GM FOR BEING AN IDIOT IF THEY DON'T TAKE HIM AND CONTINUE WATCHING YOUR TEAM SUCK DICK ON AND OFF THE FIELD!

It's so obvious that this is the guy that I can't even fathom one of these teams not taking him. It will be utterly hilarious if one of them passes on him for Mr Clowny the clown or some other worthless prospect who will have his talent wasted. Take the QB idiots! It's by far the most important position - or take Clowney and continue to suck dick for 60 more years....

your choice

#1 overall? No, that should go to someone like Bridgewater. I will say he's definitely a 1st rounder, his passing has really impressed me this season.

He is a huge candidate for being a better college QB than professional QB.

The best case scenario for him is Russell Wilson, but I think Russell is much much better off the field and throws the ball better. I also think Russell last name Wilson might be a slightly better athlete.

I'm not really convinced he will translate to the NFL as a quality QB. he screams perennial backup QB in the NFL to me. His running style is great but the NFL tacklers are bigger, quicker and hit harder than college. he will get punished if he runs like that. His size is small. He may be bigger than Russell Wilson by just a tad but something tells me he wont nearly evade big hits as well as Wilson does in the NFL.

As a passer and a decision maker, hes great. He'll have to convince me as a pocket passer rather than a runner.

Anyone who takes him #1 is a dumb franchise.

He's not a true NFL prospect to be a can't miss signal caller prospect but he's certainly impressive at the college level. I was impressed with his decision making last night where he wasn't pressing...just took what was available. That's a smart QB.

He shouldn't go any higher than 15-20 imo. Good developmental prospect but risky for an NFL future.

Manziel is going to be one of those college superstars/NFL busts

How many times have we seen a guy who is unbelievably athletic on the college level come up to the NFL and be pedestrian? Dont even limit this to QBs, take reggie bush for example. In college he was like barry sanders. Now he is just a good player.
Peyton Manning/Andrew Luck was much more of a sure thing than Manizel

He has already shown a lot of immaturity.

Many NFL scouts and GMs strongly disagree.

This, and if I am being honest, Wilson benefits from being on the best team in the league outside the QB position. If manziel is drafted #1 overall, he will be going to a terrible team.

Clowny is going to be a beast. You take him #1

Manziel's little body will get crushed in the NFL. He is a risk taker, and will pay for it at the next level.

You look like an idiot saying something like this. Someone that is just told what to think from the media. The only immature thing he did was getting caught with a fake ID and really who doesn't have one of those. Big deal. He isn't raping females. He isn't getting caught selling drugs. He isn't out being a criminal.

His coaches love him. His teammates love him. His fans love him. That's all that really matters. He's better than last year. Shit, even Peyton Manning had fantastic things to say about him.

As far as playing in the next level, I don't know enough to say but if RGIII and Wilson can play, so can he.

And even if he becomes pedestrian, that doesn't make him a bust.

Source for the NFL scouts and GMs?

He stays in the pocket way more this year than last year and has cooled off on running all the time.

He's taken a few risks with his throws though and that has led to some Romo-esque interceptions but that's about it. He basically only runs when he has too.

So I guess "making plays" is now synonymous with "risk taking."

Manziel screams average NFL QB. Solid second or third round pick who could develop over the course of a couple years but he'll never be elite

Manziel is not a 1st round pick let alone a #1 overall.

I'd feel a little more strongly in the "won't make it" camp if he didn't play extremely well the last two years vs. Alabama who has a defense with a number of 1st, 2nd and 3rd round talents.

It will be interesting to see how he develops and is used in the pros. It will be interesting to see where he gets drafted for that matter.
