Second one clearly wasn't positive. First one apparently was just him being strange. Calming the **** down at crucial moments might not be the worst strategy though.

That wasn't the best moment of the game, the best moment was Garrett asking why the clock was stopped on the penalty. That's the Cowboys problem, not Dez having a tantrum after game is over practically.

Tom Brady had a worse temper tantrum than this early in the season...

my GUESS is that Witten was telling him to calm down and relax, perhaps his "rah-rah" was getting in the way of the team focus, and there was a little back and forth...

I think Dez just has a shit load of energy he needs to release...he takes his vitamin C before the game

Dez was probably still doing more harm than good, but I don't think this should be overly concerning any more...both Garrett and Romo claim that everything Dez was saying was "positive" in nature and now after hearing that audio I believe them...

It looked like the perfect dichotomy: On the Detroit Lions' side, Calvin Johnson putting together one of the best 60-minute games by a receiver ever, and doing so without a peep. On the Dallas Cowboys' sideline, Dez Bryant flashing some impressive skills but immaturely spouting off, held back by his teammates.

Turns out, we didn't have the whole story.

Bryant was mic'd up for the game, and the video evidence of his "tirade" tells an entirely different one. There was no calling out teammates, no finger-pointing and no whining. Instead Bryant was imploring his teammates to play the way he thought they could.

Granted, there were profanities throughout what we can hear, but it's mostly positive just as Bryant insisted it was after the game.

At :08: "We can't let them do that!"

At :12: "They manned me the [expletive] up! We destroy that!"

At :23: "If they press [cover] me, it's over!"

At :47, to Tony Romo: "We good on that, Tony! We [are] the best in the NFL on that!"

From there, the conversation with Romo, Bryant and wide receivers coach Derek Dooley involves how Bryant should run what sounds like an option route, with Romo and Dooley wanting Bryant to sit down in front of the safety.

Basically, that's it. That's what we see and hear. Granted, there was a pushing and shoving portion of the game when Jason Witten had to hold Bryant back, and didn't look too pleased about what Bryant was saying.

But this portion here seems to show just what Bryant asserted after the game: He's a passionate player who just wants to win.

They'll resort to the typical "He cares more about catching passes than winning games" nonsense.

Jason Witten on Dallas radio RIGHT NOW talking about the Dez thing

Witten says that all that happened is that Dez was upset about the Lions scoring at the end, and Witten was trying to tell him to snap out of it because there was still 12 seconds left and he still had to get out there and play.

Witten also went on a long rant about how much he loves Dez as a teammate and how much he appreciates Dez's passion

Witten also stated that Dez is one of the least selfish players he has ever played with and he has never once complained about not getting the ball...

But Megatron is a world-class humanitarian because he hands the ball the refs after a TD.

Seriously, as if individuals don't have personality types that vary from one another. It seems like some people have the desire to remove emotions from sports.

I think Dez has been getting too much criticism going all the way back to his NCAA days. The guy had an insanely difficult childhood, his crackwhore mom was arrested when he was 8 years old. No doubt he is more emotional than most other players, but people should remember where he came from before condemning every outburst.

If Dez was actually selfish, he would have had season ending surgery last year when he broke his index finger, instead of playing through his injury and racking up 350 yards and 3 TD in the cowboys final 3 games.

He'd be better off not throwing tantrums during games. Why does he need to throw tantrums during games? Down at the end of the game, needing a miracle, he's screaming and yelling with Whitten. What exactly is helpful about that? Especially since he's the miracle man if anyone.
